I must say I enjoyed watching his show thru years. He would push both sides on issues and it was entertaining to watch

Also appeared thru years as himself in movies/tv shows and seemed to have sense of humor when people impersonated him especially Dana Carvey on Saturday Night Live

I watched the show every week. When two straight weeks went by with no new episodes, I knew something was up.

The last episode he couldn't make it to the taping of the show and recorded his dialog separately. When they played the audio back, you could tell he wasn't in good health.

RIP

Is this the guy who always seemed angry? I actually liked him even though I barely saw the show. It felt like it didn't have political leanings and it was a less fraternizing version of Real Time.

Fun fact about J Mac is that before he was political pundit he was a Priest. He left the Priest hood in the 70's. When I learned that fact as a child I just couldn't wrap my head around how he used to be a Priest.

Grew up watching his show on Sunday mornings with my dad, after watching Newton's Apple that was it's bizarre lead-in on our local PBS station. As an 8 year old I found it bizarre and hilarious. As I got older, I also found it informative and reassuring that people of competing views could come together and argue them in something approximating good humor. I'm going to miss this guy.

Bible studies were held in a church boiler room and were Filled with booze, anger and possibly molestation.

For many years the lone right-leaning voice on TV opinion shows. He had a blustery personality, but I highly suspect it was concocted to get people to pay attention and keep tuning in. And somehow it was always less annoying than usual guest Eleanor Clift.

Heard before going on vacation last week that he was going to miss his first ever show...should have almost suspected to hear of his passing when I got back.

R.I.P.
