Farabee and Smith drafted same year 14th and 17th overall. Both 21 years old.

Farabee could be a top line winger and Smith may be a top pairing dman.

Farabee in 2 seasons so far:
19-20: 52 games 8 goals 13 assists 21 points
20-21: 55 games 20 goals 18 assists 38 points

Dman Smith in his rookie year:
48 games 2 goals 21 assists 23 points

Who do you take for the next 10 years?

Smith and it’s not close. Farabee is nowhere close to a top line winger, he’s a 2nd liner. Played in a run in gun system where his team was regularly behind and got extended minutes due to injuries. Smith is a legit top pairing d man.

Farabee. He is gross. I underrated him at his draft. Have seen both live and while Smith has the sense to play for a long time I think Farabee is a star forward.

I’ve been impressed with what I’ve seen of Farabee so he has my vote. If he doesn’t regress he’s on his way to being a 1st line winger when you consider his results at his age this past season.

Top pairing D over top 6 winger. Not always, but in this instance, absolutely.

Farabee is a nice player, and is turning out to be a lot better than i expected out of the draft...but Ty Smith has the potential to be a good top-pairing defenceman. That wins the day pretty easily over a winger for me. At the draft, and still today.

Ridiculous post. I would take Smith but you're severly underrating Farabee. He was the best Philly player most nights and when you watch a lot of the goals he scored last year, it was him making a play or manufacturing something, not floating and being the recipient of opportunity like you are implying.

Took Smith, but Farabee is a solid player. Just top 2 D are usually harder to find than top 6 Wingers

Farabee is great, but he's a winger. Ty has looked arguably as good, and plays the more important position. Clearly Smith.

Wait. AINEC.

Am I doing this right?

Extremely close. I like Farabee more, but Smith plays the premium position and was the better player at the draft. Farabee was so good last season though. I ended up going with him.

Both are going to be great players. Every time the Devils played the Flyers, Farabee was almost always on my standout players of the game. He's awesome and the Flyers have a great player for them. Definitely a guy who could become a 1st liner in his prime.

That being said, I think I will go Smith. The guy looks like he could become a solid top pairing defenseman in his prime. And I think I have to take the potential top pairing defenseman over top line winger. Just a more important position. But a great poll. though. I see no wrong with going Farabee here either.
