The man played so many memorable characters on SCTV from Guy Caballero to Sammy Maudlin. But my favourite was Floyd Robertson, always trying to give his best attempt at providing a professional newscast, but always getting frustrated at his co-anchor Earl Camembert's bumbling.

Didn't know his earlier work, can't believe he was Count Floyd but not surprised considering the SCTV connection. Never watched it but am aware, so missed the obvious info. Only knew it from the Ed Grimley show, and interestingly enough I was just looking up old clips of that a couple days ago.
