Pretty stoked for this guy. I hope the foundation of the next generation are from this draft, along with Chibs, Lambert and Salomonsson.

Edit: and Yags-Bomb. Pointed out by @phrenssoa.

Just wondering ...
Other than removing any doubt about whether or not a player will get signed, is there any significance to signing a player who is not even eligible to be called up? For instance, does the player get the signing bonus immediately, etc? I know that getting him signed before he turns 19 allows his contract to slide but anything else? What's in it for him?

2023 numbers...but this explains it,.

he gets his bonus which can be up to 10% of contract, and can play up to 10 games and if theres any contracted performance bonuses He will get those as well...

so depending on the details? What is in it for He? around $100K cash and the possibility of a late season call up..worth up to $11,890.00 a game + again any contracted bonuses.
