Great news, good to HEar and well deserved. Seems like a kid who's likely to continue to develop and has a skill set and compete level these Jets might really benefit from.

Other than removing any doubt about whether or not a player will get signed, is there any significance to signing a player who is not even eligible to be called up? For instance, does the player get the signing bonus immediately, etc? I know that getting him signed before he turns 19 allows his contract to slide but anything else? What's in it for him?

so depending on the details? What is in it for He? around $100K cash and the possibility of a late season call up..worth up to $11,890.00 a game + again any contracted bonuses.

Love this player. Seeing his performance in training was awesome, and then he continued to light it up in the OHL. Getting the shot at camp really lit a fire under his ass, maybe signing an ELC will make him even more dangerous..
