GDT: Jets @ Min

Wow not very often you see Little and Slater get killed in faceoffs. Sounds like a pretty good game from some guys, not so good from others. Final 3 games, time to start figuring out line combo's please. I wonder how Scheif played, no points or shots. For all I know he could have been setting up Wright all game though.

Wild fan coming in peace. I was at the game tonight and have to say that your fans made themselves seen and heard big time. I was completely annoyed before the 1st intermission, and that's not meant as an insult. It's a compliment. I only wish the other Wild fans in the building would have answered back, but they just booed and kept their mouths shut. It's that Minnesota nice factor that we take too damn seriously. It was embarrassing.

So as frustrating as it was, I respect the passion your fans had there. I have a feeling our two teams and fan bases are gonna learn to really hate each other, but at the end of the day, we still have some things in common. We know what it's like to lose a team and to get one back.

So cheers to a good rivalry in the making, and good luck on the new season. :)

Thanks! :handclap:

I think the Wild will be our biggest rival as well!

Agreed cheers to a good rivalry although if pre season is any indicator we might be in for a long year.

Hey man, great to hear your perspective, Good luck to your team too.

All 3 goals against were the result of plays that he had no chance on. He made some good saves.

You weren't kidding. That Parise to Suter one timer was nasty. :amazed:

Been noticing Pavs five hole seems to close up a little quicker. Hope that bodes well.

And good grief does Pomminville have a quick hard release. :amazed:

And now for ye olde basique statistiques... LLW had good Corsi, but comprised 3 of the 5 players who were -2 for the night. And the only Jet who was a plus for the night was Grant Clitsome at +1 http://www.nhl.com/gamecenter/boxscore?id=2013010051

The main negative was that Scheifele was miserable on faceoffs, at 19%.

sample space.

given the same output and same linemates and same usage... the +/- will regress towards that corsi%

Coach Noel post-game

Away post-game is merged into the morning papers, so you will find it midway down the page.

Coach Noel post-game audio - What did he think of the response by his group? Guys battling for spots showing urgency. Wanting to have tough decisions in terms of cutting team down to final roster. Power play gave an emotional jump. Byfuglien alright? Thoughts on Pavelec. Sticking to the plan (not panicking). Did he notice the rivalry (noticed Winnipeg fans).

I'm just happy we were reasonably competitive against a fairly "real" NHL roster. LLW need to get cooking...

His five hole might be closing up quicker, but how is his glove?:help:
