Jets have recalled goalie Arvid Holm from the Manitoba Moose.
Holm was just re-assigned on Sunday to the Moose.... so is there potentially an issue with either Connor Hellebuyck or David Rittich OR just a night off???

Well it's the final chance for many of these guys. The media has indicated that the Jets will pretty much cut down to very close to their final roster tomorrow and only take that team plus maybe one or two to Calgary on Friday. The team I think has team building for a couple of days in Banff after.
So Heinola, Snerg, Lambert need real good games to stay in the mix.

I don't like how it seems that Stanley is going to win that 3LD spot.
Also find it odd that Harkins is sitting, thought he'd be in as he's battling for a spot.

Hopefully Heinola/Samberg can make an impression or we're going to be stuck with Stanley to start the season. Here's hoping for a mistake free game by both these players.
What makes you think that Harkins isn’t attempting to rest up from a minor injury (that the team doesn’t want us to know about) for the sake of a Lambert/Perfetti line?
I have a hunch Lambert, after having all that success on the PP/ wherever he was, asked to get to play with Cole to show more potential, and maybe just maybe coach listened and was willing to try, cause it’s preseason AND because we’re trying to let people do things!
Oh… wait. That might be too optimistic for this board.

A Stanely - Pionk pairing may suggest which way the coaching staff is leaning but IMO that's a pairing that will struggle so it really doesn't bode well for either of them
our top-4 will be pretty good though. morrissey-demelo, dillon-schmidt both rated quite well last year. id rather have a strong top-4 and a weaker 3rd pair, than a strong top-pair, and a 2nd+3rd pair that struggled through majority of the year, as we experienced last season.
while stanley-pionk isn't my favorite pairing on paper, i am hopeful that sheltering the third pair & minimizing their role as they did in the CDN div year could minimize any chaotic defensive play.
at this point in his draft+7 year stanley should be able to hold down a 3rd pair sans demelo. and this team needs demelo higher up the depth chart given his play on the ice
COL featured Jack Johnson on their bottom pair, TBL had some combo of Ruuta/Bogo/Schenn over the years. im not expecting our top-4 to perform to the extent of theirs, however, i think having a bit of a weaker 3rd pair aint the worst thing in the world if the top-4 performs strongly.

Nothing, just a hope. maybe coach likes his GF%. (I haven’t looked at the stats, but one poster mentioned it was pretty good IIRC).
The other thought was maybe they had to have someone sitting, and coach thinks he knows what he gets out of Harkins, but isn’t sure what he gets out of (insert player who’s playing LW tonight).

Is anyone familiar with the website streaming in terms of playback options? Meaning if I'm not watching live can I just start the game whenever? Any chance of getting to the stream without the score being spoiled? It's tough to watch live when you have a youngster ruling the roost.

Agree with most of this. But the problem is we really haven/t had a chance to see any of Samberg/Stanley/ Heinola with Pionk yet this camp yet have we, or am I mistaken? I`m one of those who believe that much more emphasis needs to be placed on PAIRINGS when doing any evaluation. How do you feel about this?

I think we saw Samberg - Pionk in one game but I'm not 100% sure, we've also seen Dillion - Pionk. I think this is the first time we've seen Stanley - Pionk.
We won't see Heinola - Pionk since bother are playing RHD this preseason.
I'm not sure what you mean. Stanley-pionk seem to have been together this TC. I just don't think they're a good stylistic fit on paper, but they can for sure play well despite that. We'll see.
Samberg-pionk played together a bit last year. I don't think heinola-pionk have. Doubt either samberg or heinola make the starting roster.
