Injury Report: Jets health in the playoffs

Agree to an extent. It’s his speed and line driving that is a threat that will be missed.

Also believe that he was poised for being productive this post season.
I do think we are a better team with Ehlers than without for sure but i think we can still get it done with the depth of this team. I want Ehlers back playing big time though.

He was questioned about his back when he was traded here and it sounded to me like he was getting sick and tired of being questioned about it. He said it had healed a few years prior to that.
If I had to guess, it would be shoulder.
Villardi addressed his injury history a few years back with media. The main issue had been "underdeveloped back muscles."

Leading into last season it was reported that Vilardi had spent several seasons targeting this issue & that he'd been assured his strength & conditioning exercises had solved the problem.

His more recent injuries including being the victim of a targeted hit by the L.A Kings resulting in a lower body injury in October 2023 & then diagnosed with enlarged spleen in March 2024.

He's been good all season long until taking a puck to the ear in Buffalo & shortly afterward being diagnosed with "an unrelated UBI" as per Arniel "unrelated to his ear."

He seems on track for a return sooner than later. Hopefully it's sooner with Ehlers out week to week.

No, and Nik has 37 gp, 4 g 14 pts. Mark has 42 gp 21 goals 38 pts
Since Ehlers started playing it's 37 vs 38. So he hasn't missed much playoff time compared to Scheifele.

TOI is a bit different. 600 minutes for Ehlers, 800 for Scheifele over those 37/38 games. But that's because Scheifele's always been on the top line and PP1, not due to injury.

Isn't that a small sample size compared to total games Ehlers has missed?
