I'd guess they're both in for game 1 if they're skating, although I suppose that makes me an armchair physician too.

It was a pretty reasonable fear after seeing Samberg go down.

Ford is back on the ice with the Moose. Just got cast off. Traveling with the team, maybe gets into one of the games on the final Moose road trip, though it sounds like he's not quite there. Should be available at some point of the Jets 1st round series at the very least.

I'd expect Shaw to get called up for playoffs. He's been a good soldier on the farm. Crazy that 37 points is team leading.

But shows how quick the depth erodes.

Shaw, Toninato and Ford are probably not the guys you want first up on your playoff depth roster. With a healthy Ehlers and Valardi, JAD, Gustafsson and Kupari are the guys who would be in those depth roles, and Lambert and Chibrikov would provide more skilled options.

For context the Blues have 2021 1st round pick Bolduc (taken one spot ahead of Lucius) already contributing, 2022 1st round pick Snuggerud has joined the team, and is playing in some meaningful games, and their first of three 2023 1st round picks, Dvorsky, is up with the team as a 19 year old, after playing most of the season in the A, while the Jets may not have Brayden Yager available at all, in his WHL/Memorial Cup run.

Ya. Lambert has more pts per game, with lots of assists but just didn't score as much. The team overall didn't score.

Agree. We have Kupari if healthy, etc.

Totally agree with this. If he has recurring back problems, they will always be flaring up. I’m not quite sure what they will do when it comes to resigning Gabe ? but if it is his back - precede with caution

I have faith in Arniel that he will find a way to make the team work regardless of injuries, within reason. He seems to really know what works and what doesn’t.

If this team (however the coach configures it) plays 60 minutes per game, we should go far.

If they wanted Vilardi or Perfetti to take a run at 2C, they should let them know that in the exit interviews this season (after we win the cup of course) to let them prepare and wrap their heads around it over the summer

This pretty much puts a nail in the coffin for me as regards signing Ehlers. You just can’t count on him to be there when it gets tough. If I’m the GM, I don’t want to dedicate 50-60 million dollars to that kind of player.

I might feel the same about Vilardi depending on how performs in the playoffs also, tbh.

Exactly, far too late to make that switch now. I'd probably try Vilardi on line 2 RW and put Nino back on line 3 with Fly out.

All the more reason not to dress any top 4 or top 6 players tomorrow.

I'd keep him on the top line and put Gabe on line 2 to start.
