Most of the team sucked tonight

There wasn't much to like about that game. One thing I'll say is that you can tell the difference between Jim Montgomery and Ken Hitchcock in terms of coaching. This Stars team played much faster than last year.

Myers will be getting enough heat here without me having to add much.

Quite possibly one of the worst games I have seen Wheeler player, sometimes I have no clue what he is doing in his own zone, hoping this was just a bad game and not a sign of things to come.

43 shots against in St Louis. 31 shots against by the end of the 2nd period tonight. Stars would have put 45+ shots against had they not gone into prevent-defense mode in the 3rd period. The number of shots this team is leaking is terrifying.

Jets weren't allowed to compete in this. Officiating ruined the game. Then jets lost interest.

Prototypical of everything that's wrong with the NHL now. Bad officials, game isn't won or lost 5v5 anymore who scores on the pp wins. Dallas got what 3.

The way Maurice distributes minutes between the lines annoys me to no end. It's honestly real bad. Some players get their time no matter how they perform, some get buried without even getting a chance and some don't get rewarded no matter how they play.

Send Vesalainen to the AHL. I’m not sold on Roslo at center. Myers with some real brain farts and is not good, but may still get resigned. First line is playing far too much. Why did ELL reform? Little became abysmal as soon as that happened. The first game would have looked like this if Helle didn’t have a career game. Something has to change, I don’t think we look good.

One positive of the PK getting absolutely ripped to shreds at the beginning of the season is that it will be good in the long run if we make the playoffs & changes are made. The PK was costly in the playoffs last season and one presumes it is only going to get worse this season now that the book will almost certainly be out on it. Hope it gets reworked to something more sensible.

Jets took too many stupid penalties... Stars didn't and deserved the win.

I really liked how Laine moved out there and kept it going even the score became lopsided. Wasn't the difference maker tonight but it shows he has developed and with right linemates he will flourish. Currently Connor is playing too strong with Scheifele and Wheeler and Scheifele-Wheeler pairing might be the last one Maurice is going to break, so I don't see how there can be any other top line. Perhaps they could try Ehlers - Roslovic - Laine and Perreault - Little - Dano lines with CSW and CLT.

Little became abysmal the moment he signed his extension in reality or shortly after. Shots? Meh. Yeah blues had 40 plus but maybe only hand a handful of legit scoring chances. Same with stars. Lots of shots but 3 powerplay goals so...

Shots are overrated and as a former goaltender, as a goalie you like getting lots of shots.. It keeps you engaged in the game. Its not like we have given up 70 high percentage shots
