Easy win for our Perds tonight. The boys will come out strong to show their support for Bruno. Plus the Jets will be exhausted from playing last night and will probably have their backup in net, and we always do well against backups. I just hope our guys stay classy and don't embarrass the Jets too badly.

No jinx. :sarcasm:

Would be a confidence boost if we can win this game. Hopefully the boys have been practicing skating, passing, shooting, and defending. And hopefully Bruno has someone double check his line up sheet before puck drop.

It's to the point where it's so pitifully predictable that you just have to shake your head and walk away...
I have been a vehement anti-tank fan since...forever--it really tainted my love for the Kings when Lombardi went that route. But part of me is wishing for a total collapse to happen just so it can force us away from this brain dead shit from our front office and behind the bench.

Why should any of us get any excitement over how many 1sts we have or our prospects when we know this is what will eventually happen to them?

If it takes ownership purging the management chain to install a culture that actually builds from within, then that's what needs to happen. You can't drive the thing directly into the ditch (last place in the league), stockpile draft picks, and then keep signing retirement home eligible free agents and blowing up the development of NHL caliber players from your farm.

Hoping for a surprise along the lines of Parssinen's debut when he saw 18 top 6 (top line, actually IIRC) minutes, but I have serious doubts

We have three games left until Thanksgiving and if we win out we will still be out of the wildcard position. Thanksgiving is the typical barometer when talking about playoffs, if your team isn't in a playoff spot by then you're 98% likely to miss. I'm all aboard the tank train now.

Think part of it is the same thing we are getting on Bruno for re: lack of adaptability--GMs generally aren't all that adaptable either. It is far more common for a GM to sweep out the prior's prospects in favor of "his" guys. I fear it may be several years and we may cycle out a lot of potential talent before we finally see this org committing to developing it's (Trotz's) young guys.

Pars had Forsberg and ... was it Granlund, Duchene? ... as his wingers?

Svech, if he's not a 3rd line winger here, might get placed between a traffic barrel and a guy with a cardboard twig.
