One thing I am loving and it’s what I heard in Arny’s press conference. He said he really liked Lambert and Chibrikov’s games in camp and if someone got injured in the top six he was looking forward to calling them up. Letting our highest pedigree prospects slot in to second the second line is refreshing to say the least.
Exactly. Put skill with skill and don’t dump them on the 4th line in limited minutes and matchups.

Loan Stanley backed way off that hit. He could have left a pasta sauce stain on the boards if he wanted to

Fredrick has stood up to guys alot bigger than himself and never backed down and would stand in there punch for punch even if it meant he was getting a licken, big gus is bigger than him and decided to drop the gloves,ya he got dropped in one punch but Fredrick is doing what he does in any fight he fights to win,I have seen. Him take more than a few beatings so I don't think he was thinking about letting gus slide after dropping the mitts.every team likes to get that lopsided boost except it didn't work for the bruins.i had seasons tickets for mann's first 2 years split 3 ways depending on who was down south,we had second row seats and we had a good rapport with Jimmy,he said he would bring a fight in front of us pre game and that's what he did,he was mean man and wanted to hurt,if he had a gus dropping the gloves with him he would of taken it alot farther than Fredrick, but hey it's a different time.
Paragraphs and periods are nice, too.

It's not in his nature naturally but Stanley has to play like he did last night, taking the man smart plays, aggressive hits and using his partner and he has to do it more consistently. You can see why the Jets keep trotting him out game after game and if he can keeps playing like that then I have no problem with him and he benefits the team

dominant W last night. Jets offense woke up. Bruins really couldn't get much good looks i felt. Wish Helle had the shutout given the Bs antics, also Gus don't ever throw hands.

Did he even?

Not sure if he pissed Fredric off somehow on that draw or if he was just the guy standing across from a pissed off guy who wanted to fight

Either way, he shouldn't have dropped them and Fredric should have let up after landing that first one so clean

Given that Connor has moments where he looks electric on the PK wouldn't hurt to try him there.

But yeah if Iafallo is scoring on the PP, he's not coming out of the formation. Namestnikov I don't think is coming out of that formation either.

In all likelihood the 23 guys who made the roster + Coghlan who has survived because of rotating injuries, and not wanting to lose him to waivers, are sticking around in their roles, and the depth guys are the ELCs getting their chances. When the rosters expand after the trade deadline I think it would be a good idea to have some of these young guys take up the Cap space instead of trading for player X to fill a hole. So Chevy can have that depth with prospects who made their impression in TC with this same team, instead of bringing in new players to try to fit around.

Some think that Chibby's game is more NHL ready, that may be true but I think both he and Lambert will do great things in Jets jerseys.

Agree -- they've already done it in the A and have some nice complementary skills. I'm still boosting Chibby as the next Perrault Super-Pest Xtra con Skill and Lambo as Uber-Tanev Ultra Plus avec Oxi Power, with disorienting speed and tenacity on the puck and -- barring last game -- a generally lethal release.

Only at the first period here at the beginning of the great 20224 Quad-demic but hoping to savour it... moment by moment of Jets domination.

And I haven't seen Gus get decked -- hope he's okay. TF is a POS.

I said it before but I think Stanley is an effective player on home ice. On the road it's a lot harder to protect him, and you wonder when Sammy comes back if you don't see Fleury and Stanley in that kind of rotation.

Good points.

I wonder if being able to count on Heinola to pick up loose pucks and take care of the exits also helps reduce the panic factor in Big Stan, allowing him to play a simpler and more effective game.

That zipline pass by Ville to 55 to set up the goal was a thing of beauty.

Only one game but I like Chibby's game far more than Lambert at this point. He plays fast and direct. He's not scared to drive the net and gets pucks on goal.

Lambert looks much faster and skilled but it's almost hindering him until he learns to use it properly. Too much perimeter and tipsy doodles that might look impressive but ultimately he's just using the space given. He needs to work on taking the dangerous space that isn't given.
