Well boys and girls I think this is the best team we've ever had and possibly will ever have.

Our "slide" started in Nashville on the 2nd half of a back to back

However, that was their 7th game in 7 different cities (of the stretch of 15 like that)
I do not think they will go into a major slide but hard to keep winning at this pace plus I'd rather see them go on a playoff run

Begs the question do we really need depth rentals this year? Barring injury I think this team is set and we have some pieces you can plug in for a short while both at forward and defense.
I agree . Chevy has to be very careful with this decision. This type of team chemistry cannot be bought and like last year it can be destroyed in an instant.

Well, I'll be. Eleven in a row! Wow, who saw that coming? Not me, that's for sure. The Jets were kind of floating around there for parts of the game, not focused like they should be. They may have taken Ottawa a bit lightly, but shut them down when it counted. Should we be concerned about the Jets Power Play? Has Brad Lauer returned, and no one told us? Okay, I'm starting to sound like some of you guys, so I'll stop. Sportsnet sucks! I give this game three "Elevens" out of five...

The Prediction Contest for the game against the Mustard Kitties has been posted for your guesses. And you know what?

Yes indeed, another trifecta! Congratulations to @Bigfish who got all three guesses correct and earned eight points! Way to go! Thanks again to @SUX2BU for the past two GDTs, it is much appreciated! I have cobbled together a quick GDT for tomorrow night's game and have already posted it. See you all Thursday! Good night...

Well folks - this is 11 joy infusions in a row, etc. Count them - 11 Clutch episodes in a row.

You will be so sick of me if this keeps up. :)

Today's victory installment: Firebirds!

Timeless among the pantheon of Clutch's unknown classics.

Lyrics

Outside of Needles I nearly lost my mind
I pulled over on the shoulder
Yeah, and I was there for some time
A young thing came walking
From out behind the trees
She gave me consolations
And this is what she said to me

"Firebirds, energy weapons
Both of these things are interesting to me
I don't care how you get them
I need them both and I need them urgently"

Yeah, I said, I can get with that
Oh, I like those things too
But I don't own a Firebird
Perhaps this Datsun will do
Outside of the valley
Yeah, we got to overheating
She took off her sunglasses
And said I believe this bears repeating

"Firebirds, energy weapons
Both of these things are interesting to me
I don't care how you get them
I need them both and I need them urgently"
"Firebirds, energy weapons
Both of these things are interesting to me
I don't care how you get them
I need them both and I need them urgently" (firebirds)

Outside of Barstow
We got to living on the lam
Sometimes doing odd jobs
And sometimes living off the land
Yeah, things went sour
And the girl, she got to packing
When I asked her why
She said "there are two things you are lacking"

"Firebirds, energy weapons
Both of these things are interesting to me
I don't care how you get them
I need them both and I need them urgently"
"Firebirds, energy weapons
Both of these things are interesting to me
I don't care how you get them
I need them both and I need them urgently, Firebirds"

I fkn love Clutch

3/5 Sound of Musics with P90s for this one.

Some slop, chop, puck hop begods... too much of that to hit the stratospheric 4 Sounds of Musics.

Lowry kicked, Apples put himself in the running for a coelacanth, the first line was great on offence, but our D coverage was kind of scrambly.

Ottawa has their weaknesses, but their offensive zone movement makes teams look like the Keystone Cops on regular occasion in the defensive zone. Coverage was indeed sloppy but I give at least partial credit to the Sens' offensive zone rotations.

Lovely stuff.

11 wins and we continue to roll. Holy gods byes.

Perfetti with a couple of manly hits and a lovely first goal.

Helly solid, stan not too bad.

Lowsy with an insane pummelling of some faceless Sen. (Kleven?)

Apples may find himself out of the AHL if he continues to score (with apologies to @sipowicz )

I liked that 81 passed to Schuffles for the EN.

Lots of scrambling in our zone, and didn't win a lot of faceoffs, but they played a very solid road game.
Love the Jets but have they ever won a lot of faceoffs?

One thing that I think is mandatory for a successful playoff run is defensive depth. I'd love to see the Jets pick up some depth with someone like Dumoulin, or maybe even make a bigger move for Bowen Byram.

I'll take the 11th win but the team is looking pretty sloppy and complacent at times tonight. I'd say that tends to happen when you win that many in a row.

But good news is the spread the ice time tonight so they still should have a bunch left in the tank tomorrow.
Its a fine line I think. Teams try not to over exert themselves during the regular season. They may opt to let up a bit when they have the opportunity, like being way ahead on the standings, but that brings in the danger of becoming to relaxed and complacent and crashing later in the season.

These positive posts about Stanley slowly trickling in reminds me of the moment in Rocky IV when the Soviet crowd starts to turn on Drago and cheer for Rocky
Stanley has done this before where he has had a good stretch of games followed by a quarter season of shit play. I will give him credit, he did well tonight. Just not get my hopes up

Stupid empty net goal ruined my prediction.

Found it hard to stay awake until the end.

This team just seems so dialed in right now. Always find a way.

I'm glad my criticism of Appleton helped get him on the score sheet.

Sens look awfully mediocre without a few key players. Don't think they have what it takes.

But for the Jets stay healthy, and stay hungry.
What a ride it has been.
