You know, Big Stan's been ok these last few games. I saw one play tonight where he actually exhibited some hockey sense... I was stunned.
Glad to see more people are noticing Stanley’s play… he is not as bad lately as some say. Yes he is still the weakest D man of the 6 but people need to lay off the criticism when he doesn’t make major mistakes that costs games.
Eleven wins in a row which means that’s 11 games Stanley has not lost the Jets right?

3/5 Skeletons tonight, what a roll this team is on, even when it doesn't look like they are at their best they just win. Helle 24 saves and on his way to another Vezina, Fefe another goal KFC 2 points, Apples gets off the snide, Captain with a strong game and a murder. Koal haters have disappeared. DZ zone coverage bent but didn't break, PP a little concerning but I guess the way they were playing wasn't sustainable. Win number 42 in 59 games what a season so far. As I've have said before first in the West is ours to lose

Saying “You know, Stan’s been ok these last few games” feels like saying “The Jets have gone X minutes without surrendering a goal” during broadcast.

Always seems to inevitably lead to a gaffe and a goal against

Yep a compliment for Stan is going a stretch without complaints or talk of replacing that’s all the compliments he needs.

Well folks - this is 11 joy infusions in a row, etc. Count them - 11 Clutch episodes in a row.

You will be so sick of me if this keeps up. :)

Today's victory installment: Firebirds!

Timeless among the pantheon of Clutch's unknown classics.

Lyrics

Outside of Needles I nearly lost my mind
I pulled over on the shoulder
Yeah, and I was there for some time
A young thing came walking
From out behind the trees
She gave me consolations
And this is what she said to me

"Firebirds, energy weapons
Both of these things are interesting to me
I don't care how you get them
I need them both and I need them urgently"

Yeah, I said, I can get with that
Oh, I like those things too
But I don't own a Firebird
Perhaps this Datsun will do
Outside of the valley
Yeah, we got to overheating
She took off her sunglasses
And said I believe this bears repeating

"Firebirds, energy weapons
Both of these things are interesting to me
I don't care how you get them
I need them both and I need them urgently"
"Firebirds, energy weapons
Both of these things are interesting to me
I don't care how you get them
I need them both and I need them urgently" (firebirds)

Outside of Barstow
We got to living on the lam
Sometimes doing odd jobs
And sometimes living off the land
Yeah, things went sour
And the girl, she got to packing
When I asked her why
She said "there are two things you are lacking"

"Firebirds, energy weapons
Both of these things are interesting to me
I don't care how you get them
I need them both and I need them urgently"
"Firebirds, energy weapons
Both of these things are interesting to me
I don't care how you get them
I need them both and I need them urgently, Firebirds"

I dunno which one of you has been doing some kinda voodoo shit with the hockey gods, but don't stop.

The one thing I don't take for granted with this team is the way they suffocate their opponent and put the game to bed.

They do not play with their food or let games slip away from their grasp.

They know the exact recipe to be successful with the sum of their parts.

What a fun ride this season has been.

GJG, baby.

Edit - Post #1000. Cheers, boys and girls.
Way to go @Mooche! Only 9000 more posts to go before @sipowicz acknowledges you... :sarcasm:

Good effort against a depleted Ottawa lineup. The way they shut it down in the 3rd was something, I counted just 1 good chance for Ottawa. I would really caution against messing up the chemistry by making a disruptive trade up front. Chevy must not let himself be suckered into a Hayes/Toffolli repeat.

The criticism is that he is being played as a #5 d-man not a 6/7. If he had been rotating in and out of that 3rd pairing and not Miller, no one would have complaints esp if he outplayed Ville/Coghlan. And as things stand now if the Jets make a trade for top-6 D at the deadline it will be Miller going out not Stan, which will raise another round of criticism.

His stats have definitely improved, almost enough to convince someone to want him in a trade, gotta feeling we move him in a package deal, at least that is my hope.

Miller played for Vegas in 2018 playoffs. Jets would be crazy playing Stanley over him.
