I'll apologize for Helly winning us a game, the day I see an Oilers fan apologizing for McDavid winning them a game.
If Edmonton loses McDavid there are 11 forwards playing regular minutes who can step up. If Hellebuyck goes down we have Comrie. That's like McDavid going down and the Oilers being forced to replace all of his minutes with a 4th liner.

Similarly, if McDavid goes on a cold streak Edmonton has the rest of their forwards to fall back on. If Hellebuyck does the Jets are f***ed. I'd say we have Comrie but we all know that he wouldn't see a second in a meaningful game unless Helle was injured.

Having the best goalie in the world is a great thing to have, a terrible thing to rely on.

They could step up, but, has any of them done so other than Drai? If Helly goes on a cold streak jets win a barn burner style.

So how does that relate to Helly playing a great game? And it is the best thing to rely on, as goalies are the biggest difference makers on the ice, and they play every minute of the game. And we have the best.

Allowed 7 shots in the last 27 or so minutes of the game. The 2nd goal completely crushed them. Mentally small team, just like Ryan Hartman.

That 2nd goal is such a karmic goal to happen to a team like the Wild. When you give up an outnumbered attack because two 6'3 200+ lbs guys are too focused on double teaming & gooning it up against a small guy like Iafallo.

As a reward for tonight I'll give the Jets 1 hour on a LA beach or 9 holes of golf, no pampering on this road trip.
Yeah and that is what a bunch of 20 and 30 year old millionaires do in LA. Got to trust the boys, or at least most of them don't have too much fun.

More like 1.

If Edmonton lost McDavid and Draisaitl they would be hanging with the Sharks and Hawks in the basement.

The net sum of "first liner goes down" is "2nd liner goes to 1st" plus "3rd liner goes to 2nd" plus "4th liner goes to 3rd", which equals "4th liner goes to first". And given the current rate of "2.8 goals equals 1 point", us missing Bucky is far less than Oilers missing McD.

Says the guy looking to pick fights after a win. What a loser.

With you? Picking a fight with you is an act of love.

As I said, I fell asleep and missed the Nino goal and the whole second intermission, but that third period was a beauty! Much needed two points against a good Mild team. Saint Helly with some spectacular saves! I give this game four "safe workers" out of five...

Kudos to the wild for the first half. Every team will have periods where they play over their heads and some stinker periods. That first half felt like a good team playing at their best more than the Jets coming out flat. Really, REALLY proud of the team for sticking with it and giving em hell even as they were getting flattened. Feels amazing to see that rewarded with stepping on the wild for the end of the game, and having Hellebuyck carry us to the point where that mattered.

Who are you to question an NHL coach, Dillon? Brendon Dillon told Dimitri Filipovic that last season the Jets players were also confused why Ehlers wasn't getting more ice time

On that note Ehlers only 14.5 mins of ice time.

Seriously who really cares how the Jets started. actually the first 2 minutes of the game the Jets had the better zone time and outshot the Wild right?
The Jets being the top team in the league every team is going to up their game against them.
I feel sorry for the people who can only talk about the first half of the game. The Jets took over the second half and limited the Wild to just 7 shots the rest of the game. You are not going to win too many game with 7 shots in 30 mins.
Those negative people must live a sad life … cheer up the Jets might lose their next game but probably not so another sad day for the Debbie downers.:laugh:

Evidently your following Comrie’s work and improvement have left you none the wiser.
Watch carefully for the “meaningful” games.
No, he’s not large like Brossoit, but the molecules follow the energy.
Not so “terrible” as you might suppose.
Thanks for your positive input though!
