Thats what makes Quick so special. He willed it at the crossbar then used his Jedi Mind control to make TT put his stick just where it needed to be. He has to do it quietly or other teams will complain and the NHLPA and Board of governors will put a "No Jedi Mind Power clause in the NHL rulebook.
DL has a similar Jedi power of persuasion ability. But it only works against Columbus' and Philadelphia's General Managers.

You will give us Gaborik for our trash and peanuts.

Did it hit crossbar? This view seems like that kick to the side happens on the ice in front of Regin's helmet.

EDIT: I seriously don't know how that stayed out.

Go to 0:42. It looks like it may hit the crossbar, but the weird jedi kick to the side is on ice, then of course Toffoli gets his stick after the bounce. Incredible:

it's more like 0:35 but it seems to glance the crossbar at best, like a coin in a vending machine, to me the puck to the helmet seems to cause a direction and rotational change.
