Jason Spezza not going to camp

Holding out a la Yashin? Guess I'll post it on the main board...

I can just imagine him sitting by the road with his backpack slung over one shoulder, his smile slowly fading as he realizes the bus isn't coming.

And then it starts to rain.

We he travel the country getting into adventures, and saving hockey team's from their lack of an elite first line centre?

Maybe tomorrow Spezz will settle down, until tomorrow, he will just keep moving on.

Wait...

WHAT?!?

This is definitely the first time I'm hearing about this today!

Good. Who cares? I want Team Canada to win and they probably have a better shot with somebody other than Spezza. I want Ottawa to win and they probably have a better shot if he's not playing in the Olympics.

I'm sure he'd go but the time off is probably better for us and his back.

Now that song is stuck in my head.

Damn you!!!!!! :p:

I like it. Piss him off and give him something to prove all season. Also gives him extra rest.

Spezza will lead the league in scoring this season.

He's never shown the ability to be even close to doing that

OP, who do you suggest taking off the list for the camp so Spezza can be there? Seems like a pretty good list to me. I'd probably have Benn over Jordan Staal but that's it

He was leading the league in scoring in December 2005 when he was left off the Olympic team.

Let's say I believe you.

-3 month period
-Crosby and Ovechkin were rookies, Malkin wasn't in the league
-Arguably 2 top 3 wingers in the league on his wing, which he doesn't have anymore
-He was so bad defensively then and sacrificed defense for offense
-In DECEMBER
