Nathan Horton’s got his mind on hockey
For the first time since having his season ended last Jan. 22 on a blindside hit from the Flyers’ Tom Sestito, Horton skated with his teammates yesterday during a captain’s practice at Ristuccia Arena.
“I feel great,†said Horton, who suffered his second concussion in less than a year on the hit. “I’ve had a lot of time to work out and get back to normal. Obviously, it’s been tough for everybody this year. It’s not the way anyone wanted this year to be, but I feel great. Better than I have in a long time.â€

Bobby Orr: No team better than Bruins
“Give me a team that’s better than Boston,†4 told the Track. “But it’s going to come down to which team is willing to pay the price to be a champion. It’s a grind … But on paper, how many teams are better than the Bruins?â€

Aaron Johnson likes new team
WILMINGTON — As a bit of a hockey nomad, Aaron Johnson is used to fitting into new situations. The Bruins defenseman, who signed a two-way deal last summer, is now on his sixth NHL team. But he must have enjoyed easier beginnings than this one.
Thanks to the lockout, Johnson will have just a little more than a week to get up to speed with his new teammates and coaching staff before the puck is dropped for real a week from tomorrow.

Bruins forward Nathan Horton says he is healthy, ready to play
WILMINGTON — Nathan Horton hasn’t played in an NHL game since Jan. 22, 2012. Like all his union brothers, Horton has missed nearly three months of healthy direct deposits ($4 million annual salary) because of the lockout. Horton is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.
Funny how a skate with your teammates can render such troubles irrelevant.
