This great game has been gone for far too long, and for that we are truly sorry.

Chris Kelly: ‘It’s a done deal’
“It’s a done deal and hockey is going forward,” said Chris Kelly after a dozen Bruins had an informal skate at Boston University yesterday. “I think it’s a fair deal for both sides. The way our game is going, the way all major sports are going, this is a fair deal that measures the way the other major sports are.
“Obviously it would have been better if it was done in September. I’m sure that’ll be the million dollar question: Why wasn’t this done months ago? But it is what it is. You can’t look back. I’m glad they salvaged some part of the season.”

Zdeno Chara hopes Europe stints pay dividends .
“We were one of the teams that had most guys involved and playing, 12 guys overseas and some others guys in the minors,” Chara said. “That’s a pretty good number, considering that some teams maybe didn’t have half of that. If it’s going to be an advantage or not, we’ll see. Hopefully it is.”
