I read today that this guy is coming back after being retired for 7 years. He now is 35 and retired at the age of 28.

He helped us get from the group C to group A, played at the Olympics in 94.

But what I want to point out is his 94/95 playoffs. http://www.eurohockey.net/players/show_player.cgi?serial=4165

9 games 22 G + 12 A = 34 points

I was too young to remember, but that must have been some performance for a D-man to get 22 goals in 9 games. Too bad I didnt see it.

Some people say that he was better than Visnovsky and had a physical side.

I hope he comes back and atleast see him play. Too bad he retired. Maybe he would have been a great D and would have helped our D-corps in inter. tourneys.

City once voted as F
If those stats are true, then he must have been just amazing!

A slight doubt still crosses my mind, I mean, the guy tied his second best regular season totals in 9 playoff games!

I also had doubts when I saw it (and still have).

varholik was the best d-man in kosice in his prime, he retired because he married daughter (he alnost change his name to rezes) of the most famous thief in slovak history (rezes) and he was supposed to make big money different way. i lived in kosice at that time and i'd remeber if he scored that numbers.....i don't think its true....
eventhough i was a big kosive fan and always hated slovan...varholik wasn't even close to visnovsky. :teach:

Your doubts are justified. Thank you for pointing out this error. We will have it correctly displayed as soon as possible.

His stats for the playoff - season were as follows:

GP: 9
G: 2
A: 2
PIM: 12

Apologies for any inconvience caused.

Best regards,
