I'm all for this. Trade Allen to the Islanders for the rights to JT, and get him signed before he hits UAF July 1. See you in Sept with an elite goalie and a true number 1 center. Would need a salary dump of Berglund and Sobotka to make it work cap wise.

1. JT continues to make comments to the press about returning. He imo is still torn about an extension. Until he reaches an agreement with another team and tells the nyi outright that he is gone , they will ride this out until July 1st,hoping his loyalty brings him back.

2. Isles need better then a reclamation project in net.

I can't imagine the blues would actually trade Allen for darling but if they would even entertain the idea carolina needs to be all over it. If Allen put up those numbers for the canes this year they may have squeezed into a wild card spot
