He’s okay. Smart player but not overly physical and pretty slow. He’s a guy that needs some insulated time on the third pair with a veteran but hasn’t really had the opportunity for that in his eight games so far.

Solid positional player, using his hockey IQ to make up for his lack of foot speed. Good stick work and size, but not physical. Solid first pass, has a bit more offense in his game than he has shown yet. I think he sticks at the 7th D next year depending on what happens with the roster. Kings will qualify him. He's coming up on his roster time over 30 days (plus he's played 9 games, one short of the 10 game/30 day rule), which means the Kings will have to put him on waivers soon if they want to send him back to ONT when Anderson and Bjornfot return. Not sure what they will do, but they might just leave him up with the big club the rest of the year. Since he has shown he can play at this level now, a fair chance someone would claim him. The fact the Kings/Reign got the left handed veteran D man Hickey loaned to the Reign might be a sign Moverare is here to stay.

I agree he would get claimed.

Just an incredibly smart, stable player. Reminds me of when the 2014 Kings picked up Jeff Schultz just to have a guy who won't save you but also won't kill you. Pretty much the epitome of an LAK vanilla LHD, except he's being played in the right spot. Makes so many saavy little plays though, I nerd out over some of his little reverse plays and passes that buy teammates an extra half-step. I know we have better options, but he'd be a fine long-term bottom pairing guy who can play up when needed (just doesn't have the foot speed/top gear to do it regularly).
