I think it has to start with a 2 at the minimum. Teams overvalue big body guys, who are great penalty killers and play a physical brand of hockey. That would do I suspect
See aboveWhat's the ask for Greenway if he's finally healthy?
I've thought Boston and Buffalo could be good trade parnters. Boston needs youth and Buffalo needs experience and guys who have come from winning programs.
Maybe somethinng like Carlo for Cozens.

Hasn't Carlo's play fallen off a cliff this year? Not sure that's a good move for the Sabres.I've thought Boston and Buffalo could be good trade parnters. Boston needs youth and Buffalo needs experience and guys who have come from winning programs.

I'd give Quinn more time, his value is LOW. He has been an elite offensive producer before this season. Better to bet on him getting back to form than selling for pennies.Basically looking to re-tool for next season, no rush on anyone but Greenway.
1. Quinn- almost .5 ppg with limited time, just kinda the least impressive youngster to me. Feels like there should be more there, but I don’t see much beyond a fantastic shot. Just being honest.
2. Cozens- He’s a player, he just needs his confidence back. Could be easier to make that happen elsewhere is all.
3. Greenway- Would prefer to re-sign, but he’s UFA otherwise.
4. Additionally, all draft picks are available to make somethin happen.
Needs: a youngish 2C and an RD. Jokiharju or Samuelsson could be moved to balance that out for both teams.
Any offers? Feels like it’s gonna be a boring deadline, just wondering what we could do if we ever did anything (Bryam for Mitts has worked out decently so far, at least).
It's far more likely Adams makes no moves than he gets bad value. It's one thing for fans to discuss value, but how confident tare Sabres fans that Adams will actually get what these players are worth?
Either a 2nd or something like a 3rd plus a 5th or 6th.What's the ask for Greenway if he's finally healthy?

Walinder is the only think of interest I have in vancouverIf/When Boeser is dealt out of Vancouver, i can see them having real interest in Jack Quinn to replace him. Trick is...i'd assume most of what Canucks will acquire in a Boeser deal is "futures", which doesn't necessarily move the needle for Buffalo right now, who want to climb out of that hole they're in.
Toronto and Montreal fans in the other thread are offering a 1st, 2nd and a good prospect/young NHL player (Robertson or Roy).I don't think Carlo has that much value ... I would give a pick and a prospect like Rosen or Komarov
I wouldn't say fallen off a cliff. He hasn't had a great year ever since Lindholm went down. Carlo is used to playing with a puckmover (Lindholm, Grzelcyk, Krug) and without one he hasn't been as effective. But he still can defend. He played great games against McDavid in Edmonton and against MacKinnon in Boston. But like the whole team, it's inconsistent. Our forwards are inconsistent, our systems are inconsistent our goaltending has been inconsistent. Strange year.Hasn't Carlo's play fallen off a cliff this year? Not sure that's a good move for the Sabres.

I think both Carlo and Cozens (also not having a great year) are candidates for big turnarounds.
We aren't. We hope he is fired at the end of the year and we have a new GM. 50/50 Pegula fires his press secretaryIt's one thing for fans to discuss value, but how confident are Sabres fans that Adams will actually get what these players are worth?
Is this a joke?Mittlestadt - $5.75M 2 more years
Ritchie - ELC
for
Cozens - $7.1M 7 more years
Byram - RFA $5-6M incoming?
Mitts started hot but has simmered badly in CO.
Ritchie is a grade A prospect.
Cozens has 2C potential like Mitts in the right situation.
Byram will never get PP1 time behind Dahlin, so same in COL, but I personally want him back![]()

Whichever Montreal fan is offering that for Carlo please tell them to stop cheering for the same team I do.Toronto and Montreal fans in the other thread are offering a 1st, 2nd and a good prospect/young NHL player (Robertson or Roy).

Why? Cozens and Mittlestadt are basically a wash and the only argument is their value based on contracts which you can argue both sides.Horrible for Sabres
Because Byram has shown this year to be a very good top 4 D who will be an RFA and can sign a long term deal, and you are offering a good prospect (not an A prospect, a B one) for a sure fire top 4 D. That's not good enough value. If it was simplified, maybe Ritchie and a 2nd for Byram I think it's closer. Why? Cozens and Mittlestadt are basically a wash and the only argument is their value based on contracts which you can argue both sides.
So then Ritchie vs Byram. Ritchie is an ELC high end prospect which the Sabres need more of now since they arent going anywhere anytime soon. The Avs need to win now which Byram helps with.
Even if Cozens and Mittelstadt have similar value, I wouldn't do it.Why? Cozens and Mittlestadt are basically a wash and the only argument is their value based on contracts which you can argue both sides.
