940% for a stretch will result in 900% or under for a stretch to level out around 915%.

This is also why when those upset that Dubas didn't sign him longterm last season when he was .940 was an emotional response.

He has never played a full season and it is due dillogence to see how he handles a full workload before handing him 5 million.

There will be plent of time in the offseason to either resign him if that is what is appropriate, or go with Mrazek and let him walk.

I am fully confident he will get through this stretch and continue to be a big part of this team.

There's one hell of a difference between .940 and whatever this is

He's also not been in this situation that often in his career

If you aren't concerned you probably should be

I'd play Mrazek 50% of the time from here on in
Nah he has had a bad stretch happens to all goalies save for maybe one or two. I'm not concerned. He'll be fine

I won't ignore that the going has been a bit rougher over this most recent stretch. The overall numbers remaining solid in spite of that struggle just demonstrates the quality of play which preceded the "downturn".

For the past month Jack Campbell hasn't been the Jack Campbell we want and need. Let's not lose our collective shit just yet. Every player has their flat spots during the course of a season. If this continues through to the end of the year, then I hope to see much more of Mrazek.

If you think Campbell was going to keep up a .940, then you may need to reassess. He hasn't been good lately but his play was going to dip eventually, you need to relax OP.

I fully expect regression, but it doesn't typically happen in one month.

A sub .890 save percentage in a month is not regression. It is just bad goaltending. He has been a bad goaltender the past few games.

It does not mean he is bad overall, and it certainly makes it easier to give Mrazek the games he should be getting the rest of the way, but he needs to be much better.

he's not standing on his head like he had been but he hasn't played badly

giving up a 3 on 1 at the end of the pp was just a selfish play by a team that values padding there stats above all else , there was no reason for JT to drop down from the top of the zone especially with a 3 - 1 lead but hey he's gotta chase his points

also Campbell isn't a .930 plus save % goalie , few are

This isn't even a bad stretch, a bad stretch would be about 900, and even then they wouldn't be blowing these leads.

The team got an 838 save% on the recent road trip.

They aren't getting 900 goaltending, they aren't even getting 850 goaltending

Yes He ha played badly

I believe it is time to let Mrazek have a bit of a run. Campbell hasn’t looked good for about 6 weeks or so. He’s had a few good games during the 6 weeks but definitely a lot more just ok games. Mrazek has been very good in the past so hopefully he’ll get that back.

I never believed he was actually as good as we thought he was, but I still don’t think he’s a problem yet. He’s held us in alot of games this year and we can’t expect him to stop everything. I just hope Dubas doesn’t sign him long term to a expensive deal this summer

I wonder if Dreger will go on Insider Trading and talk about how the price to re-sign Campbell is now coming down.

When Campbell was in the midst of his hot streak a month ago, Dreger hard a hard on while mentioning that the price was going up for the Leafs. Absolute f***ing loser.

i keep forgetting in leaf land it's always the goalies fault

and it's always the guy in the minors or in this case the b/u goalie who's barely played but just had his first good outing while facing few quality shots that's the savior

Some of us have already acknowledged his play lately is very concerning and some think he is blameless.

He's been a problem that's the reality accept it.

No, he was never going to 940+ forever but this is ridiculous

What are you basing this on? He couldn't stop a beach ball right now

This is Andersen esk right now and he doesn't look like coming out of it

Dreger’s primary function appears to be to inflate Leaf salaries. His whole insider angle is to put the fear of negotiations into the fanbase, set up a will he stay will he go, and stock price shock.

as i said , in Leaf land it's always the goalies fault , lol

i'm wondering how thrilled Keefe was giving up the 3 on 1 due to a selfish play by our captain ?

but tell me which goals were his fault tonight ?

-Lilly shooting it off his own players shin guards into our net

-the 3 on 1 , sure he could have made a big save but that was a nice shot and if the Leafs scored that this fan base would be praising our shooter and not ripping on the opposing teams goalie

-top corner re-direct

i'm guessing from experience these goals fall under "it's the goalies job to make a big save" category lol
