Well that ups going to be a big swing when he's taking us past the first round this year, for the first time in FOREVER.

All of you, pile on me, take it off Jack, I'll bet the whole account, not worth much since the doubles ads on-top and bottom have started, this place is becoming a joke with ads.

Nope, live by the sword, die by the sword, Jack Campbell is a good goalie. You shall see. There will be no trade before the deadline for a goaltender.

Meh, it's what have you done for me lately, and lately hasn't been good.

If he goes on a Conn Smythe run, all the better. But I wouldn't blame fans for having big swings in opinion on him.

Realistically, we got more than what we should have expected out of Campbell. Trevor Moore for a few months of Vezina caliber goaltending? That is a steal.

The real problem though, is the team doesn't pick him up when he is down. Carolina carried a f***ing zamboni driver to a victory by working their asses off, the Leafs would have pissed in his water bottle and blamed him for the loss.

The problem goes well beyond Campbell and no goalie will find success here with how horrible the team is run. Same issues every year but new scapegoats. It's not a surprise no goalie has has success in 20 f***ing years.
The Leafs are 13-8-1 since January 9th. Their save% since that day has been .876

They're dragging historically awful goaltending to a 100 point pace

keep on wishing, his track record is present day reality.

Track record you say? Shall you eat those words once we are out of the first round for the first time in ENTERNITY? I'll eat my crow, just make sure you eat yours, save this post, I don't care enough to, and now I'm going to lol

The big swing in opinion is the annoying part of being a Leaf fan, there is no middle ground. It's always now or never the leash is so close I wouldn't want to play here either.

Yes what have you done for me lately, I hate that mentality, we didn't get into the second round last season, this is true, wasn't Campbell's fault, this is also true.

The good news is, if Dubas throws a ton of value at some non playoff team, he will get a goalie.

But say goodbye to stuff, we hoarders, don't like to let go.

But man, we have Auston Matthews on the team.

And quite frankly, who knows with some of the young guys coming up. They don't get paid for playing playoff hockey.

I know tons of ex NHLers, but no current ones, the ex NHLers I would never have dared ask, its just totally a deal breaking question.

But I have to think, there have been tons of guys who were in all kinds of pain during the regular season, who welcomed the much needed break from being pounded twice a week.

Pure spec on my part, but tell me I am wrong.

But back to Jack Campbell, someone here said it too well, guy is broken.

There is no question, he has great goaltending in him.

The question, we don't know the answer to, is, that gone for good now, or did the NHL figure out some flaw, that we haven't figured out yet?

Good thing we fired his coach because he liked something on twitter. Now the guy is as mentally broken as if he would lost his mother, and the season is going down the toilet.

Not that we would get past the 1st round anyway, but still...

starting to look like Campbell is being effected by a full season workload of a true #1 goalie.
not sure if he's a 50-60 start guy
Im sure he can bounce back but he's coming up on as many starts as he's had in the past 2 seasons

If this guy gets in his head this much during the regular season. What is it gunna look like if things go south in the playoffs?

This team is doomed with this goaltending and it will be another first round exit.

frankly I doubt it has anything to do with workload

Goaltending has been terrible and the d has been average. I like dubas because he's able to find talent but if he sticks with this goaltending for the playoffs we will have a new gm next season.

Hard to blame Dubas. Leafs fans were calling him a genius two months ago when Campbell had. .940sv%

Goalies are voodoo, there’s no guarantee whoever you bring in is any better.

I dont blame dubas for campbells terrible goaltending. I'm blaming him if he sticks with this tandem for the playoffs. The two goaltenders are terrible and a trade for a new goalie needs to be made if leafs want to do anything other then get knocked out in the first round.

I mean I guess the question is what is actually out there? Fleury is seemingly staying put in Chicago....so where is the upgrade that is available? I agree that I am not at all comfortable with our goaltending right now but I also have no idea what the clear upgrade is that is actually feasible before the deadline.

If both goalies continue to struggle I wonder if the leafs could world something out with Boston on a mrazek - ullmark type deal. Looking like swayman is their guy as the season goes on.

Whatever your view about a trade, we can all agree our goaltending is alarming and it hard to see a deep playoff run with a huge question mark in goal. Feels like a crap shoot scenario and that usually doesn’t work out so well.

Huge bummer that he's gone from Vezina hero to deflating zero. I'm still hoping he bounces back, starting goalies don't really get traded at the deadline, but oof this has been a bad, bad run. Pretty much make or break for his career as a starting goalie over the next month. He was magical, hope he finds it. Kinda screwed if he doesn't.

State the obvious...without a good D and good Goaltending the best offensive players in the league are dead in round 1.
We are done like dinner.
The guy who should be coaching this team was on the other side of the ice tonight.
We either switch to Katy-bar- the-door hockey, or shine up the golf clubs now.
This coach is not capable of going against his top players to make the change.
