Our defense is awful, but the goaltending is equally bad, if not worse.
How many years now has this been true? Just stop and think about it for a minute, it ain't a nice realization.

Well that ups going to be a big swing when he's taking us past the first round this year, for the first time in FOREVER.
All of you, pile on me, take it off Jack, I'll bet the whole account, not worth much since the doubles ads on-top and bottom have started, this place is becoming a joke with ads.
Nope, live by the sword, die by the sword, Jack Campbell is a good goalie. You shall see. There will be no trade before the deadline for a goaltender.
The Leafs are 13-8-1 since January 9th. Their save% since that day has been .876Realistically, we got more than what we should have expected out of Campbell. Trevor Moore for a few months of Vezina caliber goaltending? That is a steal.
The real problem though, is the team doesn't pick him up when he is down. Carolina carried a f***ing zamboni driver to a victory by working their asses off, the Leafs would have pissed in his water bottle and blamed him for the loss.
The problem goes well beyond Campbell and no goalie will find success here with how horrible the team is run. Same issues every year but new scapegoats. It's not a surprise no goalie has has success in 20 f***ing years.
Sure hope not.I don't think Campbell's here next year.
keep on wishing, his track record is present day reality.
Meh, it's what have you done for me lately, and lately hasn't been good.
If he goes on a Conn Smythe run, all the better. But I wouldn't blame fans for having big swings in opinion on him.
starting to look like Campbell is being effected by a full season workload of a true #1 goalie.
not sure if he's a 50-60 start guy
Im sure he can bounce back but he's coming up on as many starts as he's had in the past 2 seasons
Goaltending has been terrible and the d has been average. I like dubas because he's able to find talent but if he sticks with this goaltending for the playoffs we will have a new gm next season.
I dont blame dubas for campbells terrible goaltending. I'm blaming him if he sticks with this tandem for the playoffs. The two goaltenders are terrible and a trade for a new goalie needs to be made if leafs want to do anything other then get knocked out in the first round.Hard to blame Dubas. Leafs fans were calling him a genius two months ago when Campbell had. .940sv%
Goalies are voodoo, there’s no guarantee whoever you bring in is any better.
I mean I guess the question is what is actually out there? Fleury is seemingly staying put in Chicago....so where is the upgrade that is available? I agree that I am not at all comfortable with our goaltending right now but I also have no idea what the clear upgrade is that is actually feasible before the deadline.I dont blame dubas for campbells terrible goaltending.
