This is normal. Posts threads regularly in the trade board, after we lose a game... it's panic on a regular basis. It doesn't even seem like he watches half the time, just looks at the game results after.

I'm just not an ass kisser like so many others here.

When a guy plays like shit, which Campbell has been doing for nearly 3 weeks I bring it up because goalies aren't above criticism no matter how much you, and others like you want them them to be.

When I saw Engvall clear that puck, I could clearly see the angle at which Spezza (?) had his skate positioned and that the puck would be going into the net unless Campbell acted quickly to adjust to the now impending situation. I even told my wife "watch this, it's going in". Campbells inability to read the situation could have cost us the game.
Only a complete idiot like Engval would shoot puck from side of his net into front of his net .. this is TO hockey 101 you learn as an atom ... you can see he was trained in Sweden .. TO hockey players would all backhand puck into corner behind net when they are standing still .. it is all training and you can see guys who are properly trained in hockey and guys who aren't in plays like that one .. anyone who blames Soup on that one is on CRACK

I wish Campbell had caught the second goal that beat him on the glove side. However, he had every reason to be distracted by the two other players on the three on one. I don't think missing that shot means he played like shit.

If you're thinking that Campbell should have stopped the own-goal that Engvall banked in off Spezza's skate, or the point shot that was deflected in front of the net then I suggest you give your head a shake.

I don't think anybody really cares if you like to crap all over Campbell, but he isn't actually playing like shit. He's not as sharp as he had been, but he's still pretty good.

Furthermore, I think you've made your point. It doesn't get any stronger if you repeat it 15 or 20 times.

Yeah, I had to watch that play on replay a couple of times to believe it.

I think it's what you would call a brain fart.

He has not been great as of late. I am starting to think the more he plays, the better he plays. He was on fire when he was playing every game, it was only when postponed games started with the long break that he starting looking weak.

You haven't been watching the past 3 weeks if you think he hasn't been playing like shit since the Colorado game.

Stop kissing his ass.

He's had a good year overall bu he's been awful lately.

I've watched every game.

He's missed a few, but he's still very good.

These guys aren't machines, and he's not a problem.

Looked pretty good in the shootout last night, too.

 There is a difference between acknowledging poor play, and regular panic, the sky is falling postings. You don't fall into the former category.

Was Jack Campbell awful last night against the Ducks?

If so, which of the three goals was he awful on? The own-goal, the three-on-one, or the deflection?

I agree. Exactly what I said a little earlier. His subpar play coincides with the cancelled games at home and having 3 or 4 days off instead of 1 or 2. I don't think it's over-use. I think it's just the opposite. He needs to get in the groove.

Congratulations to the jerk who started this thread...

I don't know, for maybe insulting, and diminishing the best soul, since Johnny Bower...

A guy like Jack Campbell, is unreachable, for negative comments imo...

Same for Johnny Bower....

I have seen so many thread closed, to me, this should be closed...

Hey, we get it, all is fair in love and war, probably started by someone who wants to see campbell'next contract, disintegrate..

Good move if you are a power nhl mover and shaker..

People, ' get right'...for god's sake...

I have pulled off political moves myself, to affect things, but NEVER, to a guy, above sanction like Campbell.

Very important man, player teammate and associate...

This is an embarassing thread...

This guy has stood on his f....ing head, and turned this team around...

I will be, a 'fan' of his no matter where he goes, and applaud him, for the amazing person he is...

Same for Kadri, I WILL always cheer for the face washer, lol, no matter where he plays. love the guy...

No question. Need to get busy again.

Campbell has been outstanding this year playing above expectations and likely Leafs MVP.

That said he has struggled lately, but that is likely from overuse and wear and tear because he has never played at the workload asked of him this year. This was suppose to be a tandem and Campbell is playing nearly 80% of Leafs games.

Lets hope that they ease up on his workload a little and balance the load, and with a little rest and recuperation we might get the Campbell we say earlier. :)

If we don't get the earlier Campbell back there will be valid reason for concern because consistently losing 3-1 and 4-1 leads is not what good and competitive teams do that have Cups aspirations.

He wasn't great 3 goals on 18 shots through 3 periods? realistically what more can you expect from your defense? mistakes are going to happen.

That 2nd goal might have been a 3 on 1, but let's be honest that's a stoppable shot, it is and before that Colorado game he stops that shot.

He hasn't been right for 3 weeks.

You claim you watch every game, then you know that since Colorado, and actually including Colorado that can be considered kind of soft.

Might as well just shot puck in his own net .. in my day that was a period benching and hope like h*ll coach looks your way again rest of that game

I'm not worried, though I'd love to give Mrazek the net for a while to let Jack rest. Regular season is whatever, we need him for the playoffs.

He's been playing worse, but last night was not a concerning game. Goal #1 was an own goal, goal #2 he should have had, goal #3 was a nasty tip that completely changed direction. Not much you can do on 1 & 3.

Thing is that angle is wildly different than what JC sees right
