Turned in on late second period to check on Kupari. Started with flatout terrible 5vs3 PP and turned out as an awful game by the Finns but at least the kid got a point there in the end. Was Aaltonen that bad then? Still double underage though, so not about to get worried. Are we missing players or why the beating?

Looks like a typical Canadian game. Pressuring all over the ice with good skaters. McBain and Veleno looked great leading the team on the 1st line. Rodrigue should be starting over Gravel for the rest of the tournament. It's weird, the first game Merkley was very noticeable, but Canada lost, now 2nd game I hardly notice Merkley and we win.

It's one of the worst age groups for Finnish hockey in ages(since '91s?). Missing our two top right handed forwards for some reason(Nordgren and Nevasaari) really kills the powerplay since we have nobody shooting on the left side.

From the 00 age group Kotkaniemi, Kupari, Utunen and Maccelli(late birthday) are the only legit draft prospects playing, kinda says it all about the quality.

I don't think that Aaltonen was that great. He whiffed the puck numerous times. Just plain missed it. Not sure what that was all about.

Still not as bad as Killinen IMO.

Don't really understand the omission of Nordgren unless it was to do with an injury or something. It's obvious that apart from a couple of players, Finland has zero offensive talent.

I think that Finland needs to have players like Kakko and Nikkanen play and just leave a couple of the 4th liner plugs that seem to be populating about 80% of the offense out. I'm sure they'd do a better job despite being a season younger.

Some Team Sweden reflections
- This team is great at getting the puck on the net and they work hard for the rebounds
- Adam Boqvist is really, really good
- Filip Johansson is almost as good, sure-fire first rounder in my book
- Lukas Wernblom does most things great, plays a complete game. Now, grow some more!
- Samue Fagemo's sniper instincts are of high calibre. Like his unpredictable game too, good with the puck
- Carl Jakobsson is really fun to watch, flashy as they come-

Sweden moves fast and pass well, and get to rebounds quickly, impressive considering how young they are.

What a boring game SWE-CZE has been. Was excited to watch Lauko, but he hasn't accomplished much. Czech goalie is a juicy rebound machine. Plasek has been the lone bright spot for the czechs in this game.

Czech defense looks very dissapointing so far. So many brain farts both today and yesterday. Zabransky looks average at best out there, Malik has been terrible. Best thing was when coach sent Adamek to play PP... he's literally the worst PP option on the team.

One player can only do so much. Thought Lauko had pretty good game, good scoring chances. Goalies are for sure problem of this 2000 generation. Dostal is amazing goalie, but the depth (Dvorak, Kolar, Vlk or whatever) is pretty mediocre. Rather take a big loss now against SWE and have Dostal fresh for USA though, that's the game Czechs need to win.

Man. I really think that Finland will get destroyed by Russia. Just don't see us having the talent necessary to compete. Especially the D will be in massive trouble against the skilled forwards. It's going to be an ugly game. Hopefully we'll see at least some flashes of skill even in the middle of getting destroyed, I guess.

Stat keeper is doing a pretty bad job so far. Sandin officially has two assists but should have none, Boqvist and Olofsson got robbed of one each.

Impressed by our kids, considering that there ain't Svechnikov, Khovanov, Galenyuk and Denisenko.

Camoon Finland! need regulation win to advance into semis unless Canada somehow botches vs Slovakia
