Right in the glove!

That even was the chance to win...

Now shootout between Canada and Russia.

At least Veleno showed some balls with that shootout goal. Actually didn't go at a snail pace.

edit: And it's only fitting that when he did go at a snail pace he failed. RUS 4-3 CAN in SO

whats going on, what are they talking about? is the game over?

edit: reviewing the goal, no goal. Russia wins

Much more interested in Aaltonen, personally. So this is just great. Hopefully he's worked on the things that held him back last season.

I think Kakko is far more interesting and better prospect of the two. Draftin europe guide just ranked him number 1 euro based player for 2019 draft.

Well, that's interesting to say the least. I also think that he's most likely a better prospect at this point in time, competing with Henri Nikkanen for the best forward. That's not really the reason I personally am interested in Aaltonen, though.

But #1 Euro player? That's a bit of a reach in my eyes.

the site doesn't have a streaming link for the Finland Slovakia game? just the commentary notes link

A bunch of Canadian players were average to bad. Only guy who really exceeded my expectations was Calen Addison, who was the best Canadian on the ice. Made quick reads and seemed to always know when to make the proper pinch.

McBain looks promising, but man does he need to improve his speed and balance while skating. He's a tall kid, so maybe that will come as he fills out. Jet Woo and Ty Smith were for the most part good. Veleno is a great skater and works hard, but I really question how well he makes reads off the cycle to unlock a team. I think that might be his biggest hindrance to being a potential #1 center at the NHL level. I'm just not sure if the offensive ability is there. Merkley was Merkely, made some dynamic plays but also did things that left you shaking your head. Way too many times was he ultra aggressive in the offensive zone that could lead to breakouts against.

Jared McIssac was the worst player on the ice in my opinion. Repeatedly pinched up ice for hits leaving him out of position, got caught flat footed and wasn't very good with the puck.

It was only one game, so it will be interesting to see how the Canadians bounce back.

Seems like a bunch of the cameras have no sound for the Finland Slovakia game. I'm certain I'll have a headache watching this sooner rather than later if they don't fix that.

@above, nice call on a bunch of them being bad and Addison being the best Canadian.

lol @ the quality of stream in the slovakia swiss game

Whoever is in charge needs to be fired. Using the far-away cam with sound the entire time would be a billion times better than constantly switching to a view where you can't see anything and get your ears filled with BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Tanus - Kotkaniemi - Ranta
Killinen - Kupari - Aaltonen
Maccelli - Moilanen - Salonen
Mäki - Petman - Kapanen
