Been here 15 years thanks, no desire to be a moderator. Also no desire to read about your religious beliefs. At all. Thanks.

Demidov's going back to Russia if we play him Evans and Armia.
This is an info from Demidov's agent. There's a clause. That if Demidov doens't play a NHL game he can return in the KHL. That being said, normally Demidov will a play NHL game. If everything is alright (immigration paperworks, etc).

The clause is just for appearances. Why would he even go through the trouble of heading all the way back there to maybe play in the VHL? He’s collecting USD now and in North America.

Or Passover Habs.

Or Yom Kippur Habs.

Or Christmas Habs.

Or Easter Habs.

Or Kwanzaa Habs.

This isn’t a religious forum, no need to push your religious beliefs here.

We don’t care about what you say, Beendair, any help to the Habs will be appreciated, a religion, the aliens, Trumpette, wtv. So stop moaning and just enjoy your day, life is short, stop complaining.

Bravo. I was there Saturday. His impact on that line is immense. He’s the puck digger. He’s the outlet passer from the boards in the D-zone.

Put Demidov there and nobody will be picking up the play down low.

It’s essentially what is going to be missing on the 2nd line, even with Demidov. This the reason next year’s 2nd line centre needs to be big and great on the boards. Because Laine is not good at it.

Laine will be floating around the other team’s blue line, as Mtl plays this stretch style of play, Demidov will carry the puck through central ice, but you need a big bodied centre to help with the outlet pass.
Exactly
You can even put what some people might label a '3rd line C' there and it wouldn't matter as long as he's got : size, over the age of 26, good at face offs, good at board battling
And they'll just thrive
(God do we need Monahan again out of nowhere lol)

I second that.

The only religion that should be spoken of in this forum is the Montreal Canadiens, nothing else. Bow down to the Demigod and the solar diety Hot Sun.

We gotta dou a YUL parking membership. And we gotta stay at Hilton Hotels & Resorts near the YUL airport for a while.

Evans have weaker match-up ? Are you sure about that?

Depends when and how you define opposition, but Newhook has spent a good deal of the season with Laine, which inevitably brought opposing defensive assignments to counter the exploitation line, whereas Evans was used to counter opposing exploitation. Yes, Evans faced better offensive players because of that, but faced weaker defenders.

And anyway, you don't want a rookie Demidov foisted on defensive assignments, which Evans often is and will be needed in the playoffs. You want him on exploitation duty which is typical of talented rookies, and that means Laine-Newhook, especially since that will also entail Hutson time.
