What I don’t hear in this answer is no.
Not trying to be argumentative, but is there actually any reason why he can't sign with the NHL while still under contract? I thought the NHL and KHL didn't have an official agreement.
No shit?I don’t care about Rottenberg
I want Demidov to have success
international labour laws? wtf is that, from russian ground ok lol dimissed, from international space station? ok lol dissmised again, from canada? highly doubtfulInternational labour laws. Even without a Transfer Agreement, KHL and NHL teams will pay lip service to it.
The AHL story is evident BS in the case of those two.Roman Rotenberg: in my opinion, Nikishin and Demidov should stay in Russia, in SKA.
He says they have a lot of mistakes, and we believe them, but they will send them to the AHL.
He gives the example of Podkolzin.
Roman Rotenberg: NHL club owners call players and say: come, any money
Roman Rotenberg: Ivan Demidov? I don't know about Montreal - he is an SKA player
That's it, now I hope SKA will release Demidov from his contract.

I am sure this russian regime cares about international law. Demidov will come over if SKA agrees to it.International labour laws. Even without a Transfer Agreement, KHL and NHL teams will pay lip service to it.
rottenbergs opinion should be silenced
Oh God
Do you think there's any chance this actually happens ? Both Habs management and Rottenburg have repeated he'd have to stay until May 31st. Having him come over would be a game changer
He believes that Nikishin and Demidov make a lot of mistakes in the game, but in SKA they are forgiven and allowed to play, but in the NHL they will not be forgiven and will be immediately sent to the AHL, as was the case with Podkolzin.Do not pay attention to his words, he is a rich clown who imagines himself a coach, a manager. In Russia, everyone just laughs at him.View attachment 1007634
what does that mean?
Demidov has a signed fixed-term employment contract that ends on May 31th. Russian Courts will enforce this on behalf of SKA, and I strongly suspect Canadian Courts too. But SKA could, at it's own leisure, if it so desires, decide to unilaterally terminate the contract earlier.I am sure this russian regime cares about international law. Demidov will come over if SKA agrees to it.
How would that conversation go?There's clauses in the KHL CBA that give the power to teams to unilaterally terminate the contract. SKA President would probably make that decision. Certainly not Rottenburg. And then, HuGo would need to want him over despite his ELC situation.
I found them in a Lafleur’s poutine on the south shore. (Is Lafleur’s even a thing anymore I have no idea)The gloves will tell the story. Watch for the gloves.
