Would be nice if he does some heroic things and help his team advance in the playoffs.

The article seems to be implying that the reason they’ll let Nikishin go before May 31 and not Demidov, is they can still plug Demidov in the MHL and it gives SKA a bit more time to try to sign him. While Nikishin had “paid his dues” by having already played a couple of years in Russia.
lol kid we wont let you go to america yet, even more, we send you to farm team, so that you find in you desire for our organization again

Make sense🫠

In 2009/10 PK played the entire season in Laval and was called up for the playoffs and it was freaking magical man.

In 2020/21 Caufield played the whole season in Wisconsin. Got in the last 10 games of the regular season and then starred in the playoffs. It was a thing of beauty.

This year.....Game 1......Demi arrives!

This is only hearsay, a lot of stuff was floating around about Michkov staying there forever and that turned out to be false. Let’s just wait and see what actually happens instead of getting all worked up, we know the media likes to click bait people with that stuff. I actually wouldn’t be that surprised if Demidov is liberated from his contract to come finish the season here, it’s only a hunch but we’ll see.

PK played two games in the regular season and was surprisingly solid. With some players you just know they're special from the moment they get on the ice. I never had this feeling with Galchenyuk, Kotkaniemi, Drouin, etc. but definitely with Subban and Hutson.

Oh shit!! This could happen!
Why must sports leagues throw their hats into the ring on so many of these types of issues? It is nothing but virtue signaling in my humble opinion. Leave politics to the politicians and diplomats. I certainly do not think killing the transfer agreement between the NHL and Russia is going to change any leader's mind on war or anything else. Sad.

I hope Dynamo eliminate SKA today to see what going to happen with Demidov.
I could be completely wrong, but I read that they won't terminate his contract either way because he wouldn't extend with them. They will apparently terminate Nikishin's since he stayed with them for a while.

There's speculation in many different directions, but this is probably to option that has received the most traction. Still speculation, as no one really knows what SKA will do until their season is actually over. I'd like to think that they've been playing hardball to try to get him to sign, but once they realize it's not happening, hopefully they'll let him go.

I don't if it's just a tactics, when KH went in Russia a few months back, he saud that they had a very good conversation with Rottenberg. Wouldn't be surprised id they release him for a small amount of $.

If it's the case, I'm guessing he would go in Laval on a ATO.

Unless Habs are playing in June, nothing will happen. KHL contracts end on May 31, so he'd still be under contract with SKA. We'll have to wait to see him in training camp and collectively cream our shorts then.
