If you won’t play Kinkaid Friday against the lowly Sabres, I think you pretty much committed to playing Cory for almost the remainder of the season.
You simply can’t ask your backup to come in after so long and expect to be sharp.
If you can’t play KK against Buffalo at home you need to bring in another goalie. Cory is not going Glenn Hall here.
Eventually we're gonna have to play a goalie other than Cory. I've been saying that Cory should probably be playing 65 games this year, if we're gonna be a playoff team. He's currently on pace to play 64.
I would give Kinkaid this game, but I don't wanna hear any f***ing excuses that the defense was bad or that the puck had eyes or that Cory wouldn't stop that shot.
We played as lousy against Chicago (not from the start of the obviously) as we did in the last game that Kinkaid played against the Rangers. We had a better start against Chicago, but that 2nd period was even worse than the 1st period against Chicago in the first game we played them, where Kinkaid allowed 4 goals and Cory gets us out of there with just one goal allowed.
I really don't ever wanna read that Kinkaid is better than Cory again or that he'll be a better starter. It might be worth losing my eyesight over.
If Kinkaid can't play ONE f***ing respectable game against arguably the worst offense in the league, he's a lost cause.
May as well start Kinkaid on Friday, rather than some random mid-week game against St. Louis next week (remember when we did that a couple years ago?) and the team needs to also be better because Kinkaid probably allows at least 3 goals in tonight's game, unless he plays much better than anything we've seen this season. And even if he does, he probably still allows 2 goals. He probably also allows 4 or 5 against Chicago, since the last time we played that badly, he allowed 5 goals.
