I’m a ride Schneider guy, but you can’t ask him to play every game for the rest of the season.

If you can’t trust that you can play Kinkaid and still pull out a win on the front half of a back to back against the worst team in the league then you should cut him and trade for a legit back up.

I honestly think one of the biggest problems with this team is that Greene and Santini pairing. If they weren't the top pairing, they might be a solid one.

A lot of the time that we get heavily outshot, we've got them on the ice. I think we're a better team than our possession stats, but we give so many minutes to them against top competition and we get very leaky with them. It's been happening all year long when they've been together.

Greene will be 36 next year, there's no way he can continue to be our #1 D. I'm seeing the same stuff with him that I saw with Lovejoy when he played top 2 minutes last year. Lovejoy has been pretty solid when he's been in, and he's been on the bottom pairing where he belongs. That's where Greene belongs, and I think he can be decent in that role for the last 2 years of his contract/career.

Isn't that what she said?

I don’t think you can because if we do keep banking them now, we will legit be playing for the division crown down the stretch.

I want to keep the win streak going and Cory is red hot, but I think you have to get Kink a game in here at some point.
If we don't trust Kinkaid to play games, then we need to acquire a backup we do trust. Plain and simple.

I think you are right. It is still only December and the first half of a back to back against the bottom of the league team at home.

You should be able to trust your backup with that so your starter is fresh for a big road divisional game.

What why? If you are going to play Kinkaid at all this weekend it has to be against the cupcake Sabres at home.
Yeah, I think we've graduated from giving the better goalie the weaker team. Especially with Washington and us in a race.

In past years, I was in favor of giving Cory the weaker team and just saying f*** it with the better team on the back to back.

I think with where we are right now, we're past that.

If you won’t play Kinkaid Friday against the lowly Sabres, I think you pretty much committed to playing Cory for almost the remainder of the season.

You simply can’t ask your backup to come in after so long and expect to be sharp.
If you can’t play KK against Buffalo at home you need to bring in another goalie. Cory is not going Glenn Hall here.
Eventually we're gonna have to play a goalie other than Cory. I've been saying that Cory should probably be playing 65 games this year, if we're gonna be a playoff team. He's currently on pace to play 64.

I would give Kinkaid this game, but I don't wanna hear any f***ing excuses that the defense was bad or that the puck had eyes or that Cory wouldn't stop that shot.

We played as lousy against Chicago (not from the start of the obviously) as we did in the last game that Kinkaid played against the Rangers. We had a better start against Chicago, but that 2nd period was even worse than the 1st period against Chicago in the first game we played them, where Kinkaid allowed 4 goals and Cory gets us out of there with just one goal allowed.

I really don't ever wanna read that Kinkaid is better than Cory again or that he'll be a better starter. It might be worth losing my eyesight over.

If Kinkaid can't play ONE f***ing respectable game against arguably the worst offense in the league, he's a lost cause.

May as well start Kinkaid on Friday, rather than some random mid-week game against St. Louis next week (remember when we did that a couple years ago?) and the team needs to also be better because Kinkaid probably allows at least 3 goals in tonight's game, unless he plays much better than anything we've seen this season. And even if he does, he probably still allows 2 goals. He probably also allows 4 or 5 against Chicago, since the last time we played that badly, he allowed 5 goals.
