Technically Islanders(4) beat the Penguins(1) so if one's definition of Cinderella is the lower seed beating the division winner the streak continues

Isles aren't a cinderella team after going to the final 4 last year. They are too good of a team and they have high expectations.

I might be in the minority. But I don't like a lot of upsets in round 1.

That is why I lost some interest in 2019 after round 1. There were too many upsets that year.

1) Too many upsets in round 1 makes the regular season feel meaningless.

2) You look forward to certain "must-see clash of the titans" type matchups happening in the playoffs, and too many upsets means these matchups never happen.

Jets are far from a cinderella team, they are serious contenders in many peoples eyes. Jets are way better than the Habs.

I dont know anyone who views the Jets as serious contenders with their current D core. If Toronto advances, I would lean towards Winnipeg in that series though.

How the Jets stumbled into the playoffs set expectations from us fans and media so low that I think they would be the Cinderella team of the playoffs. The fact they swept McDavid's Oilers, it's already a Cinderella story up to this point.

I had my playoff wishlist for my Habs ranked Leafs, Oil, Jets

Winnipeg is built for the playoffs even if their D is sub-par, they’re stacked up front, big and have one of the best goalies in the league

Nah the Isles aren't a Cinderella. Closest thing to one in the field aside from Montreal? Sure. But they've got what it takes to go far.

I mean I'd call Winnipeg a Cinderella before the Isles.
