Boy that was tough to watch Tavares score the goal. I keep thinking about Hainsey's glorious chance to win the game in overtime. That's going to be a tough image to shake if the Jets don't make it in the playoffs.
Washington has a very tough schedule left vs Ottawa again, Boston, Montreal tonight and of course us Tuesday. We need help now.

Have the feeling they are lucky to have gotten a point in this game. Still, what a great play-off-esque atmosphere!
Sorry guys......I hope you guys use that point to get in. End up in 8th and get the Rags out of the playoffs or catch up with the Craps and be 3rd.....Then if the Isles can stay in 6th we will see you.
Anyways good game. You guys and the Oil are my favorite teams in Canada (and soon to be out west)
Islanders have been 8-1-1 their last 10 on the road, you should be very proud of your guys.

But, after taking away the fivehole twice Pavs gave Tavares a nice fivehole to shoot at. Disappointing.

It sure is and Pavelecs job on the team is to make saves. It was another big game and he let in 4 goals, 2 of them weak as hell, and frankly the go ahead go in the 3rd he should have intercepted it or saw it coming. The pass was practically at his skate.
I could forgive all that if he could just make 2 saves in the shoot out but he couldn't even do that. Nabakov stoned us so many times that game I guess I just wanted the same chance from our guy.
Are you talking about when he went to the guy/puck in the corner? That was the right play. There should have been plenty of time for a forward to pick up the guy in front.
What's going to be even tougher to shake is that 5 game horrific losing steak that put us in this position in the first place.

It would be a bit of a shame for one of us to miss the playoffs as both teams have spent years in the dumps. Times are changing that's for sure.
