Even if you follow the Los Angeles Kings closely, there's still a good chance that you don't know who Matt Luff is. Even if you do, It's also likely that you don't know much about him.

Frozen Royalty spoke exclusively with Luff and assistant general manager Michael Futa for this story about how Luff caught the attention of the Kings and his progress to this point, the kind of player he is, and where he is likely to play this season.

Good article. I like is kid. Sounds like a quality person, good character and determination. Futa with the feedback and sense of humor.

Any projections on Luff?

Good article as always, Gann. Hopefully he will benefit more from playing in the AHL than the OHL.

I don't think there is any doubt he has made the Reign squad. He was very good in the the rookie game he played, and scored a goal against the Ducks in an NHL game. Welcome to ONT.

Luff has the shot to be a proficient scorer at any level, he could be a real surprise. He has a great attitude which will help him along. I don't think it would hurt his development terribly going back to the OHL, but from the few games I saw of him with Hamilton he was clearly a step above his peers. Even though he's filling out he has enough size to handle the pro game now, and he's turning the right heads to show he belongs.

Don't know if you read the story, or just the headline, but there is a little doubt. Nevertheless, it does seem likely that he's headed to Ontario.

Really enjoyed watching him in his time with Hamilton (OHL). Great shot and worked hard. Seemed like a good teammate.

Hope he does well.
