I guess the Videodrome thing in QC is quasi-permanent?

The good news is that there's no Sox game on the 21st. So there will either be a game on actual NESN (and not NESN+), or a epic rant from me on that date.

It also looks like the preseason is starting about a week earlier than last year...so maybe the regular season starts early too?

Damn, no weekend games at home

Yup, I saw that coming a mile away. Blame Ed Sheeran and Katy Perry for that - they each take up a Friday and Saturday at the Garden during the preseason. Not sure they'd be eager to "bull crew" after Saturday concert for a Sunday afternoon preseason game, and Sunday night is essentially a weekday game for most.

If they keep the preseason/regular season spacing the same, it looks like NHL opening day will be around Wednesday October 4 - usually they schedule 4 games - a US East, Canada East, US West, and Canada West, with a flood of games on Thursday (as well as Saturday). October 4 seems early to me, but it would sure take the pressure off the schedules, and allow for less chaos caused by the 5 day bye week in February. I think they're still doing bye week, but they're doing it in only two weeks so that 15-16 teams get rested at once, and bye teams ONLY play against each other on their first game back.

Also looking forward to taking in the first development camp at Warrior(July 6-9). It's just a short ride away(usually via the 57 bus) for me, a Newton Corner resident.
