Let's go boys and girls, there's a Canes game tomorrow, and I think we're all happy. I love you all and happy that the 2019-2020 hockey season is upon us.
Even though I'm optimistic (as we all are), my concerns.
1) We lost a lot of leadership and Williams was credited with keeping them on track during early season struggles.
2) The team had chemistry and played with a chip on their shoulder, outworking pretty much every other team. With all the changes that occurred, will they have the same chemistry and "work ethic".
3) As FW mentioned, can Reimer/Ned/Forsberg be as efficient as McElhinney as a backup.
The good news is that I don't think this management team will let things fester so if there are struggles, they'll take action .
My biggest concern with the on-paper improvement of the roster is that the team hasn’t looked better yet. Granted, there hasn’t been a ton of ice time with the newly-minted lines and pairings, and it was only preseason, but still.
Fingers crossed, though.
Can't be October, it was 98 degrees outside today
I asked my family last week if they wanted to tailgate tomorrow. I checked the weather today and texted them “nevermind, it’s friggin 98 degrees tomorrow in October, eff that.
