So first Toews gets the lion's share of the credit for Chicago's Stanley Cups and now he also gets it for Canada's international dominance. Sounds legit, since those teams, Canada in particular, are full of scrubs except for Super Toews... Using the number of won championship to prove individual players' qualities is always a bit silly but even more so when we talking about a team like Canada which would have a very good shot even if they played their B team, let alone their A team without Toews (or any other star). If you look at say the Bruins in 2011 you can say quite confidently that they wouldn't have won it without Thomas. Can anyone honestly say that Canada would have almost certainly not won in Sochi or Vancouver without Toews? Chances are they would have won even if Craig Adams had replaced Toews.
