JFresh actually wrote a good analysis of ZAR's great defensive ability - ZAR being a player that graded out in his rankings as the top defensive player in the league for several years in a row. He's just memeing on a player that he actually appreciates.

I'm trying to buy a jersey for Christmas, but the logo on the new ones looks like this on the fanatics website, which is incorrect. Anyone bought a Fanatics jersey yet? Did they really use the wrong logo? How's the quality? I've had terrible experience with fanatics before so I'm a little gunshy.

Ok, I'm going to bite here.

What's wrong with it?

It looks like a sticker instead of stitched on

See where the star overlaps the flag. The star on the fanatics mockup is missing the silver outline that overlaps the top of the flag.

Well the Breakaway jerseys have always looked cheap because they are.

I think the logo itself is just the logo but the quality of the materials is suspect when the log has a lot of detail to it. Simpler logos look better and less distinguishable between high and low quality jerseys.

In person I don't think it looks terrible but you notice the lower quality of the materials. That being said, the Breakaway jerseys are pretty comfortable. They still look better than chinese knockoffs.

I'm not really bothered by plasticy logos or sweater materials that aren't true to what the players wear. I'm just looking for a jersey that gets our logo right. My question is is the logo correct or incorrect on the new jerseys IRL or did fanatics just leave off those details in the online mockup? The quality of the materials shouldn't ever change any part of the logo. It should be the exact same logo regardless of whether it's embroidered or printed.

I think they look the same in person.

Oh wow. Now, I am certainly not an expert on this, so please don't take my word for it... But it sure seems like it's a quality downgrade on the Breakaway jerseys this season.

Looking at the NHL.com shop, ALL the men's Breakaway CBJ jerseys have the "wrong" logo as in your picture example. ALL the women's have the "correct" logo. ALL the premium ones have the correct logo.

I have a Laine Breakaway jersey from 1.5 years ago. It has the correct logo, I just checked. I cannot remember how the picture looked on the website but given how the logo is consistently wrong in the men's Breakaway models this year, I would be very cautious about chalking it up to just an image error on the website... This is Fanatics after all.

Some of the other teams seem to have some tiny tiny differences too, but nothing as blatant as the CBJ one. (Predators looks like it's a bit truncated on the Breakaways, Penguins one has almost no visible white on the left glove thumb, but maybe these could be just the angles of the photos, or about the techniques and colors.)

Something so obvious might be visible in some crowd photos taken this year at Nationwide, or maybe you can find pictures of the Blue Line Store if they sell the same ones? Answering my own question: Blue Line has the same jerseys, and consistently the men's Breakaway jerseys are missing those logo parts. I couldn't find my way around the internet to find any proper crowd pictures or closeups from the Blue Line store.

Maybe call the Blue Line store?
