How sad. Part 2!?

Aaron Portzline ‏@Aportzline 3m3 minutes ago
#CBJ Boone Jenner and Jeremy Morin will dress vs. #Flames. Jenner will likely play on the wing, though Richards says lines not settled.

#CBJ C Alexander Wennberg has an infected hand and was told by doctors to remain in Vancouver at least a couple of days. Not cleared to fly.

How do you get an infected hand?

No it's weird but my friend who was Aaa player had an infected hand from just a scratch. A small cut on his wrist and he got the infection from his hockey gloves. Ended up being hospitalized for two weeks.

Of course this is the worse case scenario. Cbj luck tho..

It's funny the injuries that are happening to this team. I mean damn, even the refs aren't safe during CBJ games...

It's probably a training staph infection.

If you knew how many microbes live in various parts of your body, you would freak. Knowing how many germs grow in shoes, I can only imagine how many thrive in sweaty hockey gloves.

The healthy human immune system normally fights off these bugs, but on occasion they manage to flourish. When it gets bad, IV antibiotics are required for immediate bacteria ass kickage. Probably why he had to stay in Vancouver.

Everyone should have a fresh tube of Neosporin (or better) in their medicine chest. Usually at the first hint of an infection starting, it will take care of it. Soap and water also works wonders if used early and often.

There you go, free medical advice. :)

Agreed. Any time I have a cut or something, I clean the hell out of it.

Also….and it's all personal preference, I never use things like Purell. Some bacteria fights the bad bacteria, and Purell attacks all of it. Just use soap and water.

Was whether at least one game in this season wheh we had less than five injured players? Don't let me wrong, I think not.

Nice to have Jenner back; hopefully Winnberg is back quickly. Hopefully its not a CBJ resistant strain of bacteria.

There we have it. Alexander Wennberg doesn't wash his hands when he goes to the bathroom.

Poppie is a little sloppy.

Lather, rinse, repeat.

Suggested workaround for this sort of injury, or wry commentary on the endless stream of injuries? Or BOTH? YOU DECIDE!

Its only truly fitting, that as a Bluejackets fan, in my game last Sunday after I poked the puck away from the guy bringing the puck out he tries to get it back losing his edge while im starting to turn to the right. He immediately slides right into my feet, tripping me backwards hard onto my upper left back/lower shoulder. Xrays were negative on my ribs, but last night rolling over I had an extreme amount of pain....but when coughing (which is god awful painful) it feels as if my ribs are folding over on each other. Next to my back injury, this is the most extreme painful situation as there isnt jack you can do about it. Took vicodin last night and it did nothing!

Ouch. I'd shut it down for the rest of the season. Your development days are probably past.

Hope you get better soon.
