Not an auspicious way to start the season: Pono and Suzuki missing out since I suspect one of them would have been called up and played already. It would have been good to for the duo to some run since Drury has been meh so far (I'm going to practice today so hopefully all will be on the ice x Pono):

Random question - when guys on 2-way deals get hurt in camp and stay on IR into the regular season, do they get paid their nhl salary?

I assume this is addressed somewhere. Probably where the rule exists that you can't reassign them while on IR...

hhhm..:he hasn’t played much.

Many times, maintenance days aren't predicated how much they play, it's because they may have gotten banged up a little in a game. Not bad enough to miss a game but something that a little rest may help. Things like a Charlie horse, bruise, slight strain, etc...

Geez, I know. No need for the lecture.

Huh?

I said: "Maintenance day for Chatfield"

You said: "hhhm..:he hasn’t played much." Which implies that you are questioning why he needs a maintenance day if he hasn't played that much.

Thus I responded to that statement with a reasonable response that how much he played may not correlate to why he needs a mantle day, with: "Many times, maintenance days aren't predicated how much they play, it's because they may have gotten banged up a little in a game. Not bad enough to miss a game but something that a little rest may help. Things like a Charlie horse, bruise, slight strain, etc.."

It's a normal conversation with rational discussion not a lecture. No need to take everything so personally.

I blame myself. Some time ago I commented something about how it seemed we had fewer nagging injuries under Bill Burniston than we did under Pete Friesen.

Since then, Freddie got hurt late in the season (21-22) and obviously Svech and Patches, and now the horseshit we're dealing with now.

I apologize.

What a bunch of deds.

I was excited about the hockey season, but nice things + me = no. Scheduled Raanta injury is also overdue.

Jk. Shit happens. Get better and play better.

Seems like you aren't. Better get over to Bojangles.

If you meet @Boom Boom Apathy in the Bojangles parking lot, you better bring a chair because he's gonna talk your ear off, and given his advanced age, he may need a seat while he's doing it.

Haha my fighting days are LONG since over. When the odometer hits 70, you are just happy for the engine to work.

Edit: Two chairs.

Btw: I realize you said that in jest but I meant what I said (watching practice this morning I turned off my phone and missed Cory’s updates)
