Chernyshov likely won't play in Saginaw until after Christmas (surgery). He is in town though and will begin practicing/playing when he's able.

I could see the Petes moving Matejicek closer to the deadline if a team had an open import spot or wanted to upgrade and get a veteran guy like him.

Londons import situation is unresolved. Halttunen is still with the Barracuda in the AHL and Glen Semenov will be joining the team soon once his visa is approved.

The Attack has a pair of 17 yr olds.
German Max Bleicher has been learning quickly and become a solid third d pair with fellow 17 yr old Gabe Smith. He looks durable, ,skates well and has a good point shot . I can see him slotting into special teams in future.

17 yr old Russian Rafik Varosyan ( vare- Oh- shun) arrived just in time to start the season. He's got great hands, decent feet, and is being carefully introduced to North American hockey while taking a regular shift.

Judging by the smiles, both boys are ecstatic to be playing in the OHL.
