Import goalies: Yes or No?

For multiple years there are no import goalies in CHL. The main purpose of that was, that Canadian goalies should have more place to play.

Was it a good idea? Now im asking Canadian fans. If they see any advantage of this.

The rule change has only been around for the past 4 years. It may be too soon to make a judgement.

It was a good start, but is anything really flowing down to the grassroots level? It's all well and good to say you want to give a chance to the homegrown G, but if you don't follow it up with better development on the way up, it isn't doing much. Some of the HC motherhood guidance has had work put into it, but where does that flow down consistently to minor hockey? It's still or hit or miss whether the younger goalies are getting the attention for it to effectively flow upwards.
