How are this ID numbers given? With ICE HOCKEY WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP i see some pre-tournament gaems from 2012.Good stuff.

The "978" is the tournament number. If you hover your mouse pointer over the links in the OP, it will give you each tournament number at the end. Just insert that number into the link I just gave you and you'll have the media portal for every tournament (didn't check if IIHF does it for the lower-level ones but def for the big events)
