IIHF Fantasy Hockey

The system feels bit clunky, plus those who are used to setting lineups a week in advance will not be able to do that, as it requires at least every-other-day attention. I'd be happy to join HFBoards league though. :)
 
Looks to me as though it is each game day. I have set a lineup with players playing tomorrow then I plan to sell/purchase for the next day.

If I am wrong.....oh well
 
It's by round, just figured it out.

So is everyone able to get lots of players on their team? I'm only able to squeeze 9.

Stocking up on Slovak players and wishing I could have more than 4.

ÃŒt's indeed round-by-round, prelim round #1 includes early games from tomorrow, with evening games being first for round 2. I'm not sure when line-ups for prelim round 2 open, though. But I'd guess you have about 20-30 hour window for it.

I only have 9 players....round by round meaning the first two days is a round?

A round would be 8 games in which all 16 teams are involved, i.e. today and tomorrow's noon and afternoon games are one round, tomorrow evening's and Sunday's games are another round, then Monday-Tuesday, Wednesday-Thursday...

And what's a "round"? I don't get it. Does it consist of game action for all 16 teams? So the 1st rd started yesterday and ends tonight with NOR vs DEn & FRA vs GER?

If that's the case it's an incredibly dumb split. Why can't they just do day by day?

Anyway, I'm gonna try to figure it out.


Also, I think it's a great idea to have IIHF Fantasy but it still has some flaws. For instance, for the goalies only saves, wins & SO are counted. This means that a goalie who stops 30 of 35 in a 6-5 win (0.857 SV%) gets more points than a goalie who stands on his head with 37 saves in a 0-1 loss. Goals against and SV% should count too.
 
Anyone know if you can actually switch out players? Or am I stuck with the team that I chose?
