Would I say I wished I never read this thread.

I would.

Would I tell anybody to read anything else he posts.

I wouldn't.

I would have run away crying before I saved the birds or killed the snake.

I can't even tell you how bad a "snake phobia" I have.

On another note, It's actually 100% bizarre I have a severe snake phobia. I'm born and raised in downtown Toronto...so haven't had any real nature experiences with snakes. Yet I'm deathly afraid of an animal I've maybe seen "live", like, twice in my life :dunno:

I can kind of understand that. I'm scared of bees, never been stung.

What is a garden snake?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garter_snake
Garter snake ‒ sometimes called garden snake or gardener snake ‒ is the common name given to the nearly harmless, small to medium-sized snakes belonging to the genus Thamnophis. Endemic to North America, they can be found from the Subarctic plains of Canada to Central America. The garter snake is the state reptile of Massachusetts.[2]

...

Garter snakes are present throughout most of North America.
They have a wide distribution due to their varied diets and adaptability to different habitats, with varying proximity to water; however, in the western part of North America, these snakes are more aquatic than in the eastern portion. Garter snakes populate a variety of habitats, including forests, woodlands, fields, grasslands, and lawns. They almost exclusively inhabit areas with some form of water, often an adjacent wetland, stream, or pond. This reflects the fact that amphibians are a large part of their diet.

The common garter snake is one of the most well known snakes in Minnesota. They live in many different rural and suburban areas and are found on hilltops, along rivers, and in backyards.

Garter snakes are harmless. An hour out of Winnipeg, you will find Narcisse snake dens. Thousands emerge from winter den for mating. Best time to view late April to May. Check it out on Google.

I'd probably grab my phone and start filming. Then I would stock up on popcorn and post the video on Facebook.

Is a Garter snake even capable of eating 5 bird egg? I'd probably watch out of pure intrigue.

Yeah that's what I'm wondering as well.....depending on the bird, I'd have a hard time believing a garter snake could take five bird eggs in one sitting.

So your entire premise is flawed, OP, and highly unlikely to happen, IMHO.
