Give Laf a comp of a winger in the NHL better than Hall.
Patrick Kane at 6'2", 210 lbs, with an intense competitive streak and nasty to play against.

lol okPatrick Kane at 6'2", 210 lbs, with an intense competitive streak and nasty to play against.
lol ok
If you guys won 1st overall, you'd compare him to Gretzky himself. Stop being so jealousI’m comparing him to Taylor Hall. You guys (those I’m arguing with) are comparing him to Lindros, McDavid (lol), and Matthews. Ask yourself who’s being unreasonable.
It was obvious from the start reallySo, you're finishing your transition into troll territory? Cool, thanks for the heads up.
You can't have him. Move along.lol ok
You’re the one saying he’ll be the greatest winger of all time lolSo, you're finishing your transition into troll territory? Cool, thanks for the heads up.
well of course, defensemen take a while to develop and even the ones we have up now are either still green on the defensive end or old as dirt. Or Trouba who I am pretty meh about as long as he stays in the second pairing and doesnt touch the top pairing. Although a whole season of shestyorkin will help them a ton.And we need time and experience, I'd add.

The No. 1 pick draft: NHL execs reveal how Alexis Lafreniere stacks up
So way ahead of Hall. Even better than Hughes last year. A little behind McKinnon and Matthews.
Your move.
Sorry. Not trading the first overall pick to Montreal. You also had me laughing at Carey Price. Like why?Just for shits and giggles, what would it cost Montreal for #1 overall? Kotkaniemi could be in the package, 20 year old 1C Finn to play with Kakko. Domi could be available. Pick 16. Maybe Carey Price if Habs go full youth movement?
He basically said Laf is a Kane/Ovechkin hybrid.Kane is not the greatest winger of all time.
Prob a troll.I didn't see somebody suggest we should pick Byfield due to politics and diversity in NYC right? Nah, no way was that a real post. At least i hope it wasn't.

Ryan Kennedy - The Hockey News - May 11th: "Lafreniere ripped up the ‘Q’ and fought through injury to win MVP honors at the world juniors, not to mention a gold medal with Canada. His skill, drive and edge make him an elite talent."
Tony Wolak - The Hockey Writers - May 11th: "Lafrenière’s skating is already explosive, he protects the puck and shoots very well, and has elite vision to boot. Simply put, Lafrenière is a cornerstone player that will make an immediate impact."
NHL Central Scouting analysis - NHL.com - Apr. 3rd: "Lafreniere offers high-end puck skills and vision to create plays, has an impressive compete level every time he's on the ice, and elevates his game in pressure situations while demonstrating leadership skills."
Cam Robinson - Dobber Prospects - Apr. 1st: "A premier, point-producing machine of a forward. Extremely dangerous in one-on-one situations. Scores in a variety of ways. Brings the noise. Will be one of the rare wingers who will dictate everything."
Mike G. Morreale - NHL.com - Mar. 20th: "He led all players in the Canadian Hockey League (QMJHL, Ontario Hockey League, Western Hockey League) with 2.15 points per game, but as skilled and talented as Lafreniere is, the thing that makes him even more impressive is his relentlessness and willingness to play a hard game and finish checks."
Mike G. Morreale - NHL.com - Mar. 6th: "As skilled and talented as Lafreniere is, the thing that makes him even more impressive is his relentlessness and willingness to play a hard game and finish checks given an opportunity."
Sam Cosentino - Sportsnet - Feb. 5th: "Physicality has emerged as yet another top-notch element in his already full tool box."
Tony Ferrari - Dobber Prospects - Jan. 29th: "He understands the game at a level that very few players do and his ability to convert on what he sees is what makes him special. The best description of his playing style is “Elite Skilled-Grinder.”"
Those aren't my words.
Hell, he can actually play quite dirty sometimes.I think because he's from the Q, fans who haven't seen him have an image of a finesse player.
I think people are going to be pleasently surprised by how dirty Lafreniere is willing to get.
Hell, he can actually play quite dirty sometimes.
Dude is not afraid.
Can we draft him now please?Like I've cautiously said, there's quite a bit of Mark Messier in this kid.
