I think he'd end on the list of first replacements but wouldn't make the squad outright. Hockey Canada loves to stack their forwards with centers as much as is possible.

He deserves to be there, especially considering Canada's natural winger depth relative to their Center depth. He always attends WHC for Canada, and is a great player for them. Oilers fans were always frustrated why he never made it (2014 and the world cup). At the end of the day Canada will likely win whether Hallsy is there or not so you can't judge too much.
