And this means exactly what at the present time? From Feb. 2020 to Jan. 14th of this season, Campbell had the 2nd best save% in all of hockey.

The price for players is really too damn high and I am not sure the ROI is out there for a team that is likely going to have to face 1 of 2 top 3 teams in the NHL in round 1.
Leafs could go spend everything and win the deadline and still be bounced by TB or FLA in round 1. It's a tough spot to be in.
Swing and a miss. Again.Sandin not on the ice for the Leafs at practice. I hope he is dealt to Arizona for Chychrun. What else would Leafs have to add?
Happy no Fleury (cost was too high), disappointed more futures gone for Giordano.
Sorry I can't find the post to quote in this thread but someone mentioned earlier that real contenders should only need complimentary pieces at the deadline (though some do much more than that anyway), and the Leafs clearly need more than complimentary pieces.
Any concern that the window is closing on this core doesn't make sense to me unless Matthews has already let it be known internally he's planning on testing the UFA waters at the end of his current deal. If not, he could conceivably be a Leaf for ten more years and an excellent player for most if not all of those years. But every time Dubas trades away futures for rentals he's forcing the team into a "win now" situation instead of solidifying via players with term what is a strong group that could compete for years.
Getting Giordano and Lyubushkin (both rentals) furthers that notion, so my concern is that if they miss their chance now, this franchise possibly could be going through a rough stretch 4-5 years from now (even more scary if Matthews doesn't re-sign and instead of moving him before his last season for a king's ransom, Dubas keeps him for one last kick at the can and fails.)
Is a metric crapload bigger or smaller than an imperial crapload? There's a metric crapload of good names out there that could easily be on the move tomorrow.
I think the goaltending issues are a little overblown. I'm not against us picking up another goalie, but I think the additions help. The Atlantic will be hard to get out of, but we knew that going in. The Leafs core needs to perform big in the playoffs and I think the top line breaks through this year. Marner might be playing the best hockey ever and Matthews is a beast.
I think he was pretty clearly injured, I'm expecting him to rebound to being a good goalie, just not the best goalie like he was before the slump. All Campbell has to do is be average to give this team a chance. With the way the defence is now they should be able to insulate him enough to give us a chance against the great goalies in the Atlantic. Thing is Campbell was so bad for so long it's hard to have faith he'll bounce back, especially since this is his first full season as a starter.
