I'm not going to include Coyotes, Flames, Panthers, or Hurricanes because even though those names could all work, let's not have a relocation discussion.

Aeros
The old WHA name, and a pretty cool sounding one, but it's also very similar sounding to Astros, it breaks the space theme with Houston teams, and the Central Division already has a plane-themed team.

Comets
Cool sounding, keeps the space theme, and somehow no other pro sports team has the name yet. Although the Dallas Stars already have a space theme in-state.

Cosmos
I've seen this name thrown around as another space theme name. Although it sounds similar to Astros and is also kinds of the same thing.

Apollos
Also a space theme name that I've seen thrown around. Original, and it invokes the sun just as much as space. Houston Apollos doesn't exactly roll off the tongue though.

Bulls
Generic name, and it breaks the space theme, but bulls are associated with Texas after all.

Colts
Colts could have a double meaning for horses and Colt .45s, both of which are very Texas. Although it's not space themed, and the NFL has a team named Colts.

Jaguars
Jaguars are returning to Texas after being extirpated, and Jaguars are cool name. NFL already has the team name though.

Returning to the topic of Dallas having the Stars name, they really should give "North Stars" back to Minnesota, and Dallas should get a new name. North Stars is sick, and The Wild have the worst name in all of sports.

While I don't like it, the Adams family would not give up the copy rights to the Houston Oilers. We still have the Oil derrick logo around even though we're the Titans now. Houston Texans wanted to use the old Oilers logo and unis for the throw back games next year and Amy Adams said no
