OT: I'd really like to be bombarded by popular posts from other teams' boards

If these same posters posted this shit on another team's board or the main board it would get locked because no one cares about posts from other boards. Why do we need emails about the Bruins board? No one but Bruins fans give two shits about it. What genius thought this was a good idea?

But they can put more advertisements in those emails. So it works and they get more $$. The whole site is one big advertisement these days. Even the ad blocker can't stop them all.

I haven't gotten an email from HFBoards in 15 years.
 
Can I ask what this refers to? I use ad blockers and as a "sponsor" I don't seem to see anything at all.

I would imagine emails to be annoying. I'm glad I don't get them. LOL.

We get emails about popular posts at other teams' boards that no one cares about.

Once they stepped up and fixed the crashing during the TDL, I stepped up and paid my $12. Call me old school, but I believe one should pay for value. (A lot of trouble in the wold today is caused by services that got away from this concept over the last 20 years, and have since had to figure out how to make money in other ways...)

I wanted to pay those $12 and was having issues so I never did.

I'm with you, here, though I would argue that under no circumstance should an email ever be "opt-out" for existing members, where you're automatically enrolled. We all know Mandatory wants to make more money off this, hence the switch to Xenforo with its "content-sharing-friendliness" and likes system to keep driving traffic, but those f***ers don't even advertise this board on their own site.
 
I can't even fathom signing up for a website like Hockey's Future and using a legitimate email address and not a throwaway one
